I've been wanting a newer Def Tech BP10B or this rare model that I saw years ago. Not too much info on it but Trey Mr3 has a thread posting or 3 on this model. I loved the BP10b's and these are twice what they were. I can't wait to hear these in a better cleaner more open room.

And I was first in line. A hick-up on day one yesterday, but he got it straightened out and called me this morn. I'm back and they're put away except the sub. I have to make room for it in the back room.

If I am not mistaken, you already have a set or two of speakers, don't you? :)

I think there are just a few more than that...:wink:

Awesome story, but I must poke the bear....

Have you not learned that you need to have moving blankets on you at all times lol...

I have a box of pillows in my garage for padding, and 4-5 blankets in my trunk in case either: I breakdown with no heat during winter OR I need to pick something up and protect it spur of the moment lol...

We gave you a pass on the Goldenears... but now we have to keep poking fun until your next score picture indicates you have heeded our wise counsel

If you always wanted a 69 Mustang Fastback and one finally showed up near you for thousands less than it was 10 years ago, would it be an addiction problem if you had 2 cars and a truck already but you had just enough room for that Mustang too? :p:)

As soon as I got 10 miles down the road, guess what popped into my mind? My yellow fluffy blanket isn't in my car! :s:s I was seriously peoed about my forgetfulness. I had to get a receiver, antenna ,screw driver and allen wrenches if I had to take a base off. Spare drinks, lots of ice, cash, map. All checked. But that blanket that's ALWAYS in my cars trunk was used for something else some where around here. Maybe in my truck behind the seat! I'll look for it tomorrow if I remember too...Maybe I used it to keep our neighbors cat warm on cold nights when they would leave him out all night in 40* or less nights.

Thanks for tapping me lightly on the back of my head to say, "hey, I told you just a few weeks ago about this unpreparedness!" ;):)

Nice find! I think you are officially out of storage space now!

    Thanks!

If I bring something else home after today, I'll have to build a mezzanine. Or I could enclose some of my porch area on the side of the cottage to store my woodworking tools and hardware things which is a massive collection too.

    Ok. I'll delete what I wrote. :)

I just had the worst few days in quite a while. I've gotten around to repainting my house which needed it bad. The neck and shoulder workouts have tightened things around my bad throat and neck. But today was a great day. I picked the set up, came home and even painted my front porch walls before going out to eat with the step daughter and wife. It is the step-daughters Birthday. It was a good! day. :)B)

I need to start selling some older stuff asap. Maybe even donate some things that don't sell.

These new to me awesome speakers deserve better!

I wonder if there's an easy way to set up space for two separate 2 channel rigs out in Tony's man cave. They could be setup in a way that would make swapping and trying out gear super easy to do.

I just want to spend a day or two out there going through all the gear and trying different combinations of it, to find out what has the best synergy! :)

I really liked that tune back then. I used to play his albums all the time when I was about 21. I'm getting a craving to play some Billy Joel lately for some odd reason. Maybe my younger days are calling me back. B)

Couple of the big boys from B&K for cheap - no affiliation -

    https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/ele/d/2-bk-200-sonata-power/6627993296.html

The previous price on the ad was $250, but apparently that was the price for each amplifier. The seller has since adjusted the price to $400 to reflect the price for both amps.

NOPE. Spoke to the guy and he confirmed $250 for both. I offered and supposed to pick it up today. He texted me this when I was asking for the exact address.

“Sorry, someone offered me $400 for the pair, he’s picking them up tonight.
If he backs out, I’ll let you know“

A guy has two pair of Monitor 4’s near me for $40. He told me they were Monitor 10a’s, but when I stopped to check them out, they clearly were not. They are a bit rough. One pair is about a 4 or 5 out of 10. The other is say a 3/10 (one speaker had a driver with a shredded surround, and the other had the grill tack nailed on. I did not listen to them, but if anyone is interested, I could help out, or put you in touch with the guy.

Look what I just went through with the Infinity speakers and stuff. We set up that he would call me in the morning after he did a job first.
The guy said he called me the next day to the 2nd in line, and I didn't answer. BS. I was up all morn.. Then an old friend comes back to town and right off, he's second in line and gets some good things. But I'm fine with that 100%.

Similar loss. We were told yea, you can come get them, not. :s:'( But I was patient as a porch dog and didn't bug the guy that morn. .I SHOULD HAVE. But now I have something better. :D but I paid 200.00 more :#

@doggie750 , maybe you'll get to buy them after all. That person might not be able to raise money and have to pass. There's still hope for you as of right now! ;):p

    Good luck to you! ;)

Optimus 5B's A friend had a pair back in the 70's. Pretty decent, acoustic suspension, was a clone or copycat of the KLH Model 5. Listing doesn't say if the stands are included. They look metal. No affil. xrcyb3hbdosc.jpg
