Optimus 5B's A friend had a pair back in the 70's. Pretty decent, acoustic suspension, was a clone or copycat of the KLH Model 5. Listing doesn't say if the stands are included. They look metal. No affil.

I had a pair bought new. Karma'd them to @DollarDave 's son a couple years ago. -

Probably not Yaqin made so good stuff i think. I have had two different tube buffers from them and was happy with both. I have not heard any of the tube amps but have not heard negative comments either.

https://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/ele/d/vandersteen-model-2ci/6625138878.html
Unfortunately most vintage Vandersteens need to be refoamed.............Then you have to worry if the job was done right.
Except for that they were awesome speakers. -
I have the 2CE version. Nice sounding speakers and a def. different flavor to my SDA's. Great for classical music but in my system for rock a sub would be nice.Yep, my name really is Bob.

That is close to @lightman1 and @oldrocker"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Yup. Not too far...

I don't know about @oldroker, but @lightman1 is like an audio black hole. He doesn't let anything audio escape.
Ain't that the truth, Gary! -
Clean Luxman L-4 vintage integrated amp. $145. No affiliation, but could assist with pickup/shipping.

I know the good reputation Tannoy has. I did not know they made in-wall/ceiling speakers. These seem like a great deal. Anyone know anything about these?
No. Affil. https://omaha.craigslist.org/ele/d/cut-in-ceiling-speakers/6623412598.html
-
I've heard them in a room. They're just OK. Nothing impressive, imo.
-
^^^ Thanks, I honestly wouldn't know what to do with them. But I hate to pass up something that's possibly real good. I'm not thinking of making large holes in my ceilings and crawling in an attic with 20" of insulation. So 18 days on CL must mean others have no use for them either. They were probably in an office.

I may be driving right through there late next week. I should know in a couple of days. Just depends on what route I take from points East back home to champaign. PM me if you’re seriously interested.

Here's one listed as "unknown" in Toledo. Certainly interesting photos... Not sure how the leather gloves contribute to the sound...
