With this beauty, I might not mind at all.
I've owned a Sansui 717 and that tuner before. Also an equalizer to match. I regretted selling it years ago. Heck, this might be the same set. I paid 40.00 for that Sansui set at a school's tennis player fundraiser.
And I was late getting there.
Man, did my heart get to racing with JOY when the man replied to my inquiry to if it was still for sale and if so, how much?....

A friend of mine had one 1974-76 era, he used it for many years, well-built, mid-level quality table. I don't think they have a large following as others, and as such, don't resell at higher prices. I think $250.00 is top, top dollar! It would have to have a newer mid-level cartridge or better to considered at that price. I see them all they time for less, but did not investigate the condition of any of them. -

Heard a pair of these a LONG time ago (talking 2 or 3 years) and they sounded quite good, especially for the money. Most of the good old Sony lasers are bulletproof with the exception of the 9000es DVD player and a later model of SCD player. I don't know about 2K , 12- 1500.00 maybe on a good day.
