Looking for a sub to mate up with 705's? Music? Movies? You will want a more capable unit than that particular Polk unit. I'm sure you are well down the road now but here is some stuff between Toledo and the greater Chi area.Any thoughts on how/if this might complement my lsim-705’s? Don’t know if I could use it with a 2channel amp,

Who said there was anything wrong with that? Just stating the facts. I simply always found it notable that Central Illinois would have a southern accent. And when we lived there they considered themselves part of the south.

YES! The music system I vision for my living room included some large DIY bookies with SB Acoustics Satori drivers, RAAL ribbon tweets driven by a hybrid integrated. The low end supported by a nice SQ sub like the KEF R400b, Rythmik F12, or something rare like the MartinLogan Depth. The Depth gets great feedback. It would all come down to price. At $2195 retail, $900 is better but still a lot given the age. I've seen the original, even older Depth (Not the later 'i' version) in the $350-$500 range.@WLDock that ML Depth I is a very musical sub. That very small dent may pull out easily with masking tape. Or just leave it alone, you should not hear any compromised sound due to it! Peerless tweeters are available, if you're one that needs everything perfect (not a usually a bad thing) then replace it. Great speakers, buy them. My brother owns the same model. It's one of the few in that series I haven't owned. Let us know how they sound.

Mmm - not so fast - those look like peerless? I'd keep em, they are very smooth and a nice sounding tweet IMO. I haven't had my ears on it but from what I've read and been told it should be excellent. Especially if it has a similar sound signature as my MF A5 integrated. Like i said, if i wouldve had an easy way to get it to MD I woulda gave it a shot.
