Didn't like 'em, huh? Already used for target practice.

I picked up Chutes too Narrow on CD as well after purchasing Wincing the Night Away.
If these two new acquisitions are anywhere near as good a Wincing then I'll be liking them. -

I thought you were one of the Shins advocates -
Just a joke, I know copying "staming/pressing/lathing" LPs is no easy task. . . I am from the "burn it for me" generation, though.
Just busting your balls a little, Analog Joe
BTW, has anyone seen the Sonic commercial where the guy asks his buddy if he knows what an "analogy" is. . .and the guys says, "yeah, it's before digital." Very funny. . .Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

You are correct ZB!!! I just listened to my new LP of "Chutes Too Narrow" and it is really, really, really GOOD.
Doesn't have the complexity of "Wincing the Night Away," this is more simple in nature but it is a very good music record and the engineering is right there! Sonics, 4 out of 5. Music, 4 out of 5.
I also purchased "Oh, Inverted World." From what I've read this LP is even better than "Chutes Too Narrow." I'm going backwards on their discography. -
Yes they do, I own them all on LP. Except for the new one.
Damn you guys, I just get a turntable and you have to throw stuff like this in front of me. The only thing I've heard by The Shins is off the Garden State soundtrack, and I like what I heard.
I know this album has been beaten to death on the forums, but another good one IMO is Dire Staits - Brothers in arms, and another good one would be The Eagles- Hotel California. Now I know I'm gonna get beat for this one but back in the days of grade school it would have been Run DMC- Raising Hell -

Right on to all of those!!!
But you are forgetting that for the greatest performance on your analog rig you will ever, ever hear is Jazz at the Pawnshop and I have both the original LP release from the late 70s and the new 180gm pressing. Just for the shear reality of what you are hearing you will absolutely enjoy this LP set. You may not like the genre but it sounds so good that it will grow on you.
