I still think a lot of people wanted to have these Polk Signatures
speakers... does anyone know how many of these have been
sold since it was out of production?

There was a pair on ebay just a few days ago. I think they only went up to 250 bucks and didn't meet the reserve. Maybe they will relist them. I've always wanted to listen to those little 3.1's.

Ya know.... if someone really twists my arm... for $1200, I'll part with my Mint Condition 3.1TL's in OAK. Here is the catch. They are located in Indianapolis and I really don't care to ship them as they are quite big and heavy. I'm willing to demo them to someone (extensively even) before the sale.

The 3.1's are everything the their bigger brothers are... just in a slightly smaller (more home friendly) package.

At $2000 new, selling these mint for $1200 seems fair.
I'll even supply the interconnect cord and original Polk manual.

If I were a bit closer to Indy I would love to listen to your set-up. Kansas City is just a bit too far away for a quick listen. Last time I was in Indy was the Mopar Nats a few years back.

Holy ****! That's only 30 minutes away! Can I respectfully ask other forum members not to bid on these until I decide if I'm interested? I'm trying to set up a demo so I can FINALLY hear the old SDA's.

I'm actually pretty disappointed in both of you. I figured there was a little more respect for the fellow forum member. And Har, what the heck do you need another pair for, so you can hang onto them until the end of the world?

    Aaron,
    Seriously,
We have been beating you over the head about SDA's for months now. If you need time to decide if you want them or not then you are really pushing it. Ebay doesn't wait for the undecided.
I have been asked time after time not to bid on particular pieces of equipment (by various people) only to see someone else (other than the person who asked) buy them for less than I would have paid. I will, however, refrain from buying them until you make a decision. Good luck!!! BTW, you do want a set, you just are not sure yet.

This may or may not be a big deal for some of you. The guy has them listed as TL series but the photos clearly show SL 2000 tweets. These are not on the TL series. They had the SL 3000's. Big deal or not, these are nice speakers. I just like to see accuracy in an ad.

Don't sell 'em Ron. If you do you'll be so sad and depressed from "seller's remorse". Hoosier21 has gone through it many, many times.:p

    I bought my CRS+'s from Hoosier21.
I also bought a set of Monitor 10's from wangotango.
I'm so happy with these other speakers, that the need
for the big SDA's is diminished.

I'm also suffering from too-many-speakers syndrome.

The 3.1's are 500wpc. I drive them w/250 wpc from a Krell amp.
I simply do not need that much speaker in my house.
The 3.1's are incredibly good speakers. They have monstrous
spl capability. Its simply overkill for my modest home.
Either the Monitor 10's or the CRS+'s can do the job nicely and
I won't be missing all that much - I feel.

Now, if I had a really big living room - then, things would be
different. But, cranking these in a normal size living room can
be down-right painful. Those SL3000 tweeters really scream.

Ok, that guy on eBay says he bought the speakers in 1991, but they are not TL's. So, they must be older than '91. Polk upgraded the tweets under warranty??? I don't know about this one.

    marvelous,

    Here it is...
They are the latest model made in the SDA line. The tl models have slightly different drivers and tweeters. 5 drivers, 1 tweeter and 1 12 passive radiator. The dimension are 48 x 15 x 13. The imaging and soundstage are great. I am asking $1000.00 or best offer. My number to reach me is 703-408-8887

    and raife 1, Wow...
you can really get a BMW 740iL for it, I think you also don't let any
of your SDA's go for that... Where do you live anyway?

    :D ,
    Har

...I won't let mine go till the end of the world...

That was the picture from ebay that was advertise before, I'm not associated to the seller or whatsoever... I'd just save it to my
    files for future references...
