Looking to sell my Oak Monitor 10B's

As great as these sound, I'm thinking about parting with my 10B's to try something new. I was searching the internet looking for a good place to sell these and I think I found the place! What do you guys think would be a fair price for these? They are Oak color with matching stands and located in Michigan.
Since I don't have 25 posts yet, I can not put up an ad in the Flea Market so I thought I start here.

There's a reason for that...
-
Those are strange looking 10B's.
-
They are unique, that's for sure. From that one picture, they look to be in nice shape, too!Ludicrous gibs!
-
I think the Polk logos are worth between 5 and 10 dollars.
-
They should look like any other 10B with the exception of the cutom base that they sit on. Why do you say they look different?
They are pretty much in Mint condition! I've always taken very good care of them. -

How about a picture with a grill off? -
How about another picture with the grills off? While you're at it snap one of the back tooAudio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

No problem, give me a couple minutes and I'll post them.

Here is pic of the front...back coming in another minute!

are those built in base/stands?PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

The 10B's just rest on the base. They are not attached.

What is the discoloration above the tweeter? Are those all stock tweeters, drivers, and passive? -

those do look a bit odd, the center cap in the larger woofer looks a bit smaller than other picsz I've seen.
Any way, from the eBay auctions I've seen they from from 100 - 200 dollars. -
I am skeptical they are real.
-
They look legit to me...hand doped midrange, Peerless, paper passive radiator, recessed grill mounts with PITA 3M super velcro. I would say the PR doesn't "look" original, but that's just based on one picture.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

These are definitely the real deal! The mark above the tweeter is just some residue from when the tweeters were updated. -
The grey foam, the Peerless, and the PR look to be early Monitor 10 but I don't recall Polk having anything but rounded crossovers / binding post plates on the back Those mids look too shiny.

The mids and tweets look fine... the uncoated PR and velcro for the grill covers screams "early model" to me... There was a lot of non-standard stuff used in the early days of Polk speakers, so the square crossover plate doesn't bother me too much. What I don't see is any external fuses, which the early models usually had vs polyswitches in the later models.
These could be a slightly more rare version of the 10b's, probably just an earlier run with some non-standard parts thrown in... maybe a half-changeover model where some parts were new style, and some old.Ludicrous gibs! -

If you look close at the picture of the back, you can see the external fuse. It's a little hard to see, but it's there. -

How about some real close-ups of the front and back for our Polk experts to take a look at. -

I've seen MON10B with SL1000 and Peerless tweeters....this model has always been hard to nail down. Very early SDA's also used a square crossover plate.
Reaton - You mention that the tweeters were upgraded...upgraded from what?CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

To be honest, I'm not sure. The previous owner I purchased them from had a problem with one of the tweeters so he said instead of replacing one of them, he upgraded both of them. -

That's a good question, I didn't even know I was a member that far back! -
Reaton, welcome back(?) to the Polk Forum. These look pretty good. Someone in Michigan should snap these up. Make this man an offer!:DCarl

Ok, here are some close up's for the experts! Enjoy!

The mids are way to shiny to be from the Polk MWXXXX series and that PR is all wrong. They may have started life as Monitor 10's, but I wouldn't even bet a buck on that.
Reaton, can you pull out the mid drivers and PR to see what is written on their backs.Political Correctness'.........defined
