Actually the base is quite heavy, they weigh 20 lbs each.

20 lbs. is ok, but loaded stands really make my 10's shine. It also really tightens up the bass . . .makes it very authoritative!!!!
I made some spiked stands with three 4" PVC pipe. They are about 15" tall and loaded with shot and sand, weighing in at 85lbs. I am proud of the results:D -
Sounds like that would be worth a try! You still interested in the speakers then?

Turns out it's to far of a road trip for Boonaroo so these are still on the market!

I've seen PR's with that red glue in old ads and on ebay similar to this.
OriginalMonitorBrochure.pdf on PolkSDA's site has a black & white photo with similar PR's. Here are some doped 6KU132 front and back.
