Its not Christians flying planes into buildings or beheading innocent civillians on video tape or throwing bombs into hospitals or blowing up restaurants its muslims.

And when all these attrocities are commited you see ZERO outrage from the muslim community. And I know theyre out there. Its easy to find them, just draw a stupid cartoon about muhamed and boy howdy, theyre coming out of the woodwork to riot and protest.

So you can behead school girls in the name of allah but dont you dare draw a cartoon of muhamed.

Im sure there will be a lot less stereotyping of the muslim religion when we actually see some outrage and condemnation from the muslim community the next time an innocent civillian is tortured and savagely murdered in the name of allah.

Except that nobody used the Bible to justify slavery and Hitler didnt use the Bible to kill Jews.

And yeah you can take some Bible verses out of context but I guarantee you there wont be many and none stating that you should kill everybody on earth that doesnt agree with you! You tend to see a lot of that in the koran.

I recall from history class a little foray called The Crusades that Christians waged against the heathen Muslims to recapture Jerusalem all in the name of God... that was not so good.

The Muslims are taking their turn to drive the infidel Christians out because now they have the funding and the stolen technology to wage their own method of war, and it's all in the name of Allah...

One day the civilized world will have enough and there will be a race war. The muslims are already calling it that. If you do not agree with them in any way, then you are against Islam. Europe has already lost. France is now 40% muslim and the riots are just the beginning. They will win by breeding.

Another tidbit that may be lost in all of this. We are in another contries land trying to impose our will to their way of life, when for those of us old enough to remember, think about the living arrangements in this country only 40 years ago (not a long time,). Now just imagine another country more powerful then us, comes in with bombs and says we have to treat our people better. We are working things out on our own. We had our own civil wars and flexing of power by the people. Must admit there is some merit behind the imperial power claims.
However, with all that said, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else but here!!!!!

But I can understand why someone would fight against invaders (we don't think we are, and many people there don't think so either. It's the ones who feel we are that we view as a problem.) How many of us would pickup arms for what we believe?

So who thinks we are there to balance the economy or protect Israel from its neighbors? LOL

The fall of every great dynasty throughout history can be traced to spreading to far. Just things that make you go hmmmmmm

Besides, that was about 1000 years ago and at a point in history when everybody was fighting each other and not relevant today.

To them, it's extremely relevant! You are applying the typical short term American point of view. The Muslims make it a point of their upbringing to constantly remind their culture of the evils of the infidels. That's why they can continually renew their hatred of us and we consistantly can't understand why they do it.

They have thousands of years of history to call on everyday; we have less than 250 and we care more about who's getting booted off of (un)reality shows.

Even if Christians were the bad guy that time, the muslims have more than made up for it over the last 1000 years!

Ya know what? I think youre right. Christians were held as slaves by the Romans a couple thousand years ago and fed to the lions daily simply because of their faith. Techincally the Pope started the crusades but it was in response to the Turks captruing Jerusalem. You say tomato.....

But there were like 50 crusades so Im sure there is enough blame to go around.

Andrew, PH: I don't know about the Koran but the bible's violence is all old testement and follows the old rules. There still isn't anything in there to say "kill the unbelievers" but rather kill the people occupying the holy land and enslaving or killing your people. The new testement is completely different story which all Christians should believe/follow teaches only tolerence, love, and witnessing to the non-believer. Maybe the Koran has a seperate section where the rules changed from a wrathful to loving god, I don't know that much.

Cursades: Launched to retake the Holy land right? Why didn't they still have it? Who took it over? It was the Muslims that took it, hence starting the crusades. The fall of Constantinople was the last straw. Perhaps the US should learn something from Vlad Tepes as he was the only person in history to get the muslims to run with their tails between their legs.

I agree, I actually have never heard of any violence in the New Testament - Just the Old - again, probably reflecting on the culture of the times.

"Cursades"- (just pickin' ) all that I have no issue with either. I don't know that much about the Crusades except from hearsay - so yeah that sounds good too.

It's just the feeling of hate towards a society in general here that I take issue with. I know weeding out the evil-doers among an entire culture takes alot more work and burns more braincells than simply damning an entire group of people and their particular way of life and all the while blindly draping yourself in the red, white, and blue and calling yourself a patriot, but really - You want a real history lesson regarding that kind of attitude - Go read up on Hitler and Stalin. Hell, look no further than the Taliban itself.

Whenever I hear someone say anyone with a Turbin should die (even if it's in jest) that doesn't make me want to drape myself in an American Flag along with that person, it makes me want to take away the Flag from those who for too long have abused and twisted the real definition of what Patriotism (in a Democracy) really means.
