Graner; Sergeant Javal Davis; Specialist Megan Ambuhl; Specialist Sabrina Harman; and Private Jeremy Sivits—are now facing prosecution in Iraq, on charges that include conspiracy, dereliction of duty, cruelty toward prisoners, maltreatment, assault, and indecent acts.

The next time I hear any Arab/Muslim complain about the treatment of prisoners held by US forces.....I'm liable to go off!

I saw a video of a downed helicopter crewman get picked up off the ground and while he was holding his hands in front of him and up by his face, these "holy" muslim b@$+Ards shot and killed him in cold blood and then repeatedly chanted Allahuakbar (God is great).

Early this is total BS. As I type there are dozens of trials and "investigations" going on about how the US is committing some sort of attrocity. If we don't capture the "enemy" and put them in housing better than they have lived in the majority of thier lives, feed and clothe them we are war mongers and torturers. If a soldiers shoots first and asks questions later in order to protect his and his buddies lives, he is a criminal. One side is treating this like a war....WE CAN'T!

Can't be said any better than that. Would be a good idea that when people cool off to take a look at some of the things they are saying. We may then realize that some of what we are saying is part of what perpetuates the problem.

War is war and not a damn thing is good about it at the human level. It doesn't have anything to do with muslim, american, bible, koran. People are asked to kill and avoid being killed because someone else says so. Lets take the blinders off for a bit. People are under much stress from both sides.

We have been through many wars without cameras. Can we really say one is bad and the other is not without being there?

I personally think it is a tough way to get your job done with a camera watching everything you do. Just a personal opinion, war doesn't belong on the internet.

There are rules of war, believe it or not. From the Geneva convention through the traditions that lasted through medievel times. These were created mostly to seperate unneccessary actions from neccessary ones (You won't always be the one holding the big stick).

All the Muslims have shown in their actions is that they are incapable of waging an honorable war. Even a gorilla war can be executed honorably, but these guys are cowards and bullies.

Absolutely right. I don't agree with the napalm, as the collateral damage would be severe. It is the only way we could be effective, but we are hobbled.

And that is the fault of our societal views. Since they are of a different culture, and hold different values, they have no qualms about this sort of behaviour. Remember, punishment for stealing would be the loss of a hand. Adultery can be death by stoning.


In Afghanistan recently, a former Afghan official was attacked by members of the Taliban. He was killed, as were his four body guards, and 25 members of his family. Think it sends a message to the society?

I've always said the only way to overcome these animals is to become exponentially more the animal. Sad and cruel, but inherently necessary. It is the only way they will understand. You kill not only the individual, you wipe out the bloodline, but you save them for last. The threat of everything he loves and cherishes being wiped out. His familial existence is extinguished.

It would give me a second thought...

lima with all due respect i could cottonpick the Bible to find verses just like that. But I see your point. Radical Christians aren't as "bloodthirsty" as the radical Muslims- yet the ignorance remains on both sides.

Are there groups in all religions that take things too far, sure, I will be the first to admit that. When it comes to Christianity today, what few radicals that you see are an EXTREME minority, and the rest of us will soundly denouce them for what they are. This extreme minority also do not tend to practice the wholesale slaughter of people.

These quotes were not to say that ALL Muslims are bloodthirsty, that is without question untrue. There is however a good size percentage that are bloodthirsty, and the saddest part is that there are even more that cheer them on from the bleachers. Where is the outcry from the ones that detest this conduct.

In light of 9/11, I find this verse very interesting...

If you've had this drummed into your head your entire life, and you live in an environment where people die every day and life is cheapened, what do you expect?

If they're in such a rush to meet virgins in the afterlife, I say we do everything we can to speed their trip...

i can do a quick search on google and find tons of verses not unlike those in the bible.

example:
"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ****." (1 Samuel 15:3)
