Reminds me of the hyper-cheap "system" speakers of the '70s and '80s that had silver or white painted circles around their tiny cone drivers -- making the drivers look larger through the (nonremovable) grille cloth. :p

Yup. Jarts, mini bikes, tap water, wooden battleships that shoot pencils, bike jumps, skateboards, blasting caps every 15 feet on the side of every single major roadway in America.

So far so good this year. Had a drought this spring but good rains spaced just right the past 1 1/2 months. We mechanically dethatched all of our lawn this spring and Removed about 8- 30gal. bags of mostly thatch earlier this year.

We usually (both would rake the front in an afternoon) used to rake the thatch out by hand until I saw a "Sunjoe" video on their affordable electric de-thatcher/scarifier. There's a lot of videos showing how well this machine works.

I think the elec. mower-like machine removed alot more and was so EASY to do too. B)

I lightly spread "Black Kow" over the front lawn using a shovel.

I've spread "Milorganite" twice and will spread another round of Milorganite this week. Once a month is recomended. This is AMAZING fertilizer. :D

We also trimed the Crape Myrtles back this year. The new limb shoots came out great and the blooms are beautiful so far.

You might want to be careful with that "Milorganite". Several of our wastewater districts also sell the end result like you're buying in the bag. What they do not tell you is it can be high in heavy metals. Several "organic" farmers had bought semi dump trailers full of it to spread on their farms for the fertilizer side, only then to be told after testing that their fields had high heavy metal content. This was traced back to the "organic" bio-solids they spread on the fields. Cadmium and arsenic were two I remember from the time.

Put up my Bat house last year. Our neighbor put one up a couple of months later. Our neighbor said she had a bat in her box about 3 weeks ago. I looked under our bat house for guano and didn't see any.

My neighbor and I were talking and saw bats flying around our yard one evening. I thought...maybe they came from my bat house. I took a flashlight out a few nights ago and saw maybe 3. A night or two later I looked again...maybe 5. :o

Then a couple of nights ago I looked up again and saw maybe 7. My wife thought she saw more. :o

Well last night I think it was, I took my camera and had my wife hold the flashlight while I tried to focus into the slots/bays. I truly have a great camera. It focused into the house even though the light wasn't perfect. We were shocked! :o:D

They're Eastern Little Brown Small Footed Bats. :p

Oh... the mosquito attacks are pretty much non-existent now. B)
