    speaking of funny injuries...

when I was a kid I had a job in a video store that was inside a grocery store. this one summer, I'd just cleaned the door and the two floor to ceiling glass panels, one on each side of the door, where there were those head high sensor things you walk between.

It was in the morning, and pretty quiet. Just opened. Empty.

In runs this kid - must've been about 8 or so. Stops, looks around for his mom. Sees she's not in there, turns around and BOOKS it. Head first. RIGHT into the left glass!!! He must've bounced back at least 6ft and landed on his tail and back. The sound made in that collision - it was SO loud! I was like holy crap! Thought he broke the glass at first. He scrambled up super quick, like we all do when we've hurt ourselves and jump up before anyone sees us, and put his hand to his forehead. No blood, but super red. I said, "dude, are you alright?" he just looked at me with this sort of blank expression for a second, and then the waterworks - "AAAAAAAHHHH!" Then he sort of ran out again. This time up the middle.

So, I did such a great job cleaning windows once, that I injured a kid.

Brings back memories. My mom would hype TV dinners like it was a special night. Now that I'm older and a parent myself, I realize it was just her way of saying, **** it, I'm not cooking tonight!

LMAO on the bold stuff! You couldn't grab a cold glass of milk fast enough.

It was a leap to ever call that "Salisbury steak" any other than pink slime in brown gravy!

My dad and I shared an interest in model railroading for many years, since I was a kid actually. When he passed away I lost interest in mine, it reminded me of him too much. With my wife's encouragement we've been starting over getting the n-scale back in shape. Yesterday I got the lights connected so I experimented with some long exposure photos. Here's what it looks like with the lights on.

Ah, no way, Ken, I thought that was a real night shot at first, but couldn't figure out the no-roof part. Thought maybe it was inside some station or warehouse or something.

I can see how it would be difficult to revisit.
