Anyone else read the review of this bad boy in the latest TAS magazine?
Not yet. They also have a positive review of the Polk R200 speaker in this issue.
Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes
Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables
Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
Three 20 amp circuits. -
Yeah I read that, pretty good review. Seems like Polk nailed the price to performance by using the Legend series drivers in a lower-cost enclosure, without sacrificing too much musicality. I got the impression that the author truly enjoyed how they sounded.

The (common) nighthawks were migrating through last evening as I went out to fire up the grille.
Actually, they were feasting on bugs before darkness fell & the next stage of their migration began.
We had a dozen of them wheeling around in the sky, higher and lower, until nearly dusk above our and some of our neighbors' fields.
As usual, their speed and my camera's balky autofocus (when trying to catch small, fast moving objects well up in the otherwise featureless sky) pretty much prevented me from getting any good photos... but I got a few OK photos.DSC_0995 (2) by Mark Hardy, on Flickr
