Funny thing it must be turtle migration season. I about hit one on the highway last night coming home. It was about 1/2 that size in the middle of my lane. -

In the past I would have too. We do not see them as much in the rivers.(with any size to them) This one off a back highway that is in a Mackinaw river flood plain.
Jug and bank lines was how we did it. -
