I'd take those pepperoni and dog far ts and put them in a bbq bag and sit back and watch.
Years ago at a family Thanksgiving gathering I bought assorted bag of jelly beans and put them out on the table. The kids started eating them throughout the day. I later replaced the jelly beans with a couple boxes of Harry Potter Jelly Beans to the bag...grabbed a beer and sat back and watched ...
When the kids wrinkled up their faces, then some even went and told mom and dad that they tasted funny or nasty. Then I had parents trying them too...My afternoon was priceless

mrbigbluelight wrote: »"Sound Effect Amplifier" ?
For true percolation I might suggest a "Reverb Amplifier" such as the Sansui RA500 😳
It put the "Hi" back into "HiHiFiFiDelDelItyIty".
....kinda.
Vintage equipment can be fun and sometimes actually pretty decent.

There's --- ahem --- there's one of those in the basement.
OK, it's Pioneer's version (with a less cool "graphic display"), but, still...
So -- yeah. Cabin fever must be setting in, as now I am quoting my own posts.
There's a meathead method to my madness, though.
Happened to see a photo of the specific model of the Pioneer reverb gizmo that I have here. It's the earlier morph, with a decidedly more boring display than either the later Pioneer or the very cool Sansui pictured above & earlier in this thread.
Mine does look just like this one, except a little grubbier.
The later Pioneers had a cooler display; sort of a Time Tunnel thing goin' on.
As it turns out, they use a much more sophisticated electronic 'bucket brigade' circuit for the reverb effect, instead of the classic spring-based reverb tank!

I cannot think of this song without remembering this Doonesbury cartoon -- which, in my memory, was much, much funnier than I found it to be today when I sought it out.
From July 1974.
(which just makes me feel very old indeed)
PS the "woo, woo!" [ sic ] is, IMO, the best part of the song!

Darn, I just saw this yesterday. Always a day late.
Omaha's beloved Bohemian Cafe closed just over a year ago after 95 years. So there are no Czech restaurants in town. http://bohemiancafe.net/
If you enjoy Czech food, you either have to catch an event like this or there are a couple of church dinners during the summer offering Czech and Polish fare.
Or you can make it yourself, which I can do. But it's easier buying it once in a while.
Na Zdravi
