I dunno -- I was thinkin' that's crazy, but it just might work.
Cocktail sauce is the throughline.
To quote Niels Bohr (a pretty quotable dude):“We are all agreed that your theory is crazy. The question which divides us is whether it is crazy enough to have a chance of being correct. My own feeling is that it is not crazy enough.” -

Here's a photo of Willi Studer the founder of Revox/Studer reminding us of what the purpose of good audio equipment is about.

That photo was taken at Takhlakh Lake in Washington State.

EDIT: Looks like a Dieter Rams Braun of some description(?).

Competing in the Paris-Dakar rally, now just called the Dakar rally.
Those are Parisian license plates (75). Here it is in a more sedate environment:
The Dakar rally was famous, not just because it was grueling, but also because 80% of the competitors were amateurs. There’s still a big amateur contingent, but constructors have become a big part of it, with specially designed vehicles. It has been held in South America in recent years (ostensibly because of safety concerns).
This Renault 4, with a stock engine and body, finished third in 1980, with two amateur brothers driving!

... and cleaner, too.
Yup, quite familiar with "Dakar".
Not the least of reasons for which being that our daughter spent a semester there when she was in college.

I was just thinking that it’s a New Year thing, and indeed, it’s going on right now, in Saudi Arabia this year (for the first time, I believe).
