Fun with hyper-cheap loudspeakers and a pretty cheap kit amplifier, too (push-pull 11BM8 for ca. 8 wpc).
OK. I'll bite.
Gory details please.
I am takin' one for the "entry level hifi" team Someplace Else:

For any of y'all city slickers who've never seen a turkey perched in a tree...
They were pretty unhappy about the recent snowfall here in the northeast

I hit a flying turkey with a van. Bounced right off the windshield.
A spectacular thud occurred but the Bastage kept flying...Where’s the KABOOM?!?! There’s supposed to be an Earth shattering KABOOM!!! -
Was deer hunting in Northeast PA one year. All was quiet and peaceful deep in the woods. There is nothing more comical than a flock of turkeys coming in to roost in the trees. So (not) graceful! Sounded like bowling balls falling through the trees.

... and, from other corners of the internet.

different day.
same turkey, or different?
who knows?

Lucky for me he already has one exactly like mine except maybe a different DAC inside the DAC
I been trying to steal his for a year now since he brought it up to the LSAF last year.
For a review you have to look to Marvin as he better at it and does it for Mojo online!
He simply said: "It will bring tear's to your eyes" that is why he wears toilet paper on his head now when he listens to music (can't find the pic to prove it)

Looks like the antenna they built on my daughter’s middle school. They were selected to talk to an astronaut aboard the ISS a couple weeks ago. Very cool that such simple technology could make radio contact with someone orbiting the earth! They had a 9 minute ‘window’ to communicate as the ISS passed over Central PA. It was an incredible experience for the students.
-
Nice!
I'd love to build an FM Yagi like that -- but Mrs. H would probably prefer not to have it erected atop our house.
As to the ISS, when the weather's nice & the sky's clear, I like to use one of the on-line trackers to help me find it and photograph it in that window as it passes

Actually looks awesome, throw some pillows on it and I'd sleep on it for sure!
But I wouldn't pay anywhere near 450 for it lol"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
