Political Correctness'.........defined

Worked with cable splicers to pull this submarine 3 phase primary cable, buried in the mud, to be repaired in Naples Bay.
Once brought onto the barge it was a 16 hour straight job to repair the faulted section. Took 3 journeyman cable splicers 16 straight hours to repair.
These are all critical infrastructure conductors that have to be brought back into service as quickly as possible.
Once repaired, our diver would walk on the bottom of the bay, weighted belt, and air jetted the cable down into the mud.
It would last anywhere between 2-5 years before it would work its way up to just laying on the bottom.
How it would go bad was during low tide the larger boats props would whack into the outer jacket which eventually lead to a fault.
Never saw one go bad on its own. Crazy heavy per foot cable depending on the size of the conductors.
What great memories….

I have been watching Jersey detective Jim Bergerac starring a young John Nettles in the series Bergerac a BBC TV Series, and I have found this car quite exceptional.
1949 Triumph Roadster 2000 Convertible was used by the BBC from 1985 to 1991 in making the television series Bergerac.

Not only is she the 8th best guitarist in the world, and ranked among the top female singers of all time, but her understanding of submarine warfare surpasses even that of Hedy Lamar in WWII !
