I am as much a sucker for a good story as anyone, but his response to the forum for his actions was, in my opinion, pretty lame.

He entered into a transaction, came up with a story for why he could only pay what he could pay, and then entered into another transaction (and another, and another - all with the same outcome).

On the same day he was telling one person he could not afford to pay $20 for something, he was purchasing speakers for that same $20.

He entered into every deal, and somehow, issues with his children kept him from following through on his word. I would have rather heard why HE entered into another transaction while still owing a debt to another forum member.

I do not know him and am not involved in the transactions at hand, but as the parent of 2 children with "issues" I find it less than cool that a deal HE made is not paid for because his children have problems (that I assume were there when the deal was made).

I wish nothing but the best for him and his family, but the decisions he made and the actions he took were his doing, not his families nor his childrens.

Place blame where it should be placed.

This is no longer my issue - the decision of what to do should be left up to the people who were taken, but I will never knowingly do business with Hotwheelman. Not because of his family, but because of the kind of person he has shown himself to be.

Anyway you slice it, this one is going to leave a bad taste.

Mike, you are correct, $50 was paid on the $65 balance before I told you to forget it after some time went by. As far as I'm concerned, any debt you have with me is forgiven and quashed. If you still feel the need to put up the $15, do so at a local Charity.

That being said, I'd like to see you take some steps to remedy the other wrongs, and make changes for the better for yourself, which will directly impact your loved ones.

What is the one thing a man needs in order to change?

    Time.

    Cheers,
    Russ

OK HWM, I have thought long and hard about this. Here is what I will do.

You need to pay your Twenty Dollar debt to me. When you do I will post it on the board and the membership will know you kept your word. I do not want Paypal, I want a check or a money order in an envelope. Along with the check or the money order you are to send a recent copy of one of your childrens medical bills you owe to a Doctor, the bill needs to show a balance owed. No need for the details, treatment etc. just the bill clearly addressed to you and the name and address of the Doctor.

It needs to be a child's doctor, and yes, I will check, I dont want any information about the child, the illness or any other personal information, you can black all that out, as I said, just your name on the bill and the name of the Doctor, I suppose the account number would be nice, but if you dont want me to see that its OK, as I will clearly indicate when I send the funds to your child's Dr. your name and that it is to be credited to your account. I will forward the payment to the Doctor to be credited to the account within five days of receiving it.

You have posted in this thread you were going to Paypal what you owe me next Tuesday, I will expect to see a postmark of April 18, 2006, on the envelope. You have my address.

If these terms are not acceptable to you then post here in this thread that you will not accept my offer.

Sorry GG but the thread needs to stay open a bit longer. It can fall to the back pages as this is now solely between HWM and myself as far as any debt. I would request the membership not post until I post his payment or he declines the offer.

    Thank you.

Not my fight, however +1 on Mr. Grand's last comments. I hope this is the wake-up call HWM needs to learn that people will work with him if he is upfront, honest, and goes about his dealings with character. I also am convinced that someone in that situation, trying to help kids in the described predicament, could count on some used pieces of audio equipment showing up at the door from the members of this forum. It's sad that the whole thing had to go this direction.

HWM - my sympathies to your kids, and my sincere wish that you get this straightened out.

The least he could do is send back the tweeter, that'd cost much less then $20. It's sad that people do this to one another.

Exactly Ron, what I was thinking. I doubt anyone would have a problem with someone sending something back if they couldn't afford it.

With this many complaints, he needs to be banned from the Flea Market.

I have received the funds from HWM, the tweeter is paid for and the matter is therefore, closed.
