you really should have pity on Hotwheelman, he might have toenail fungus or even worse "Stinkfoot". Might keep him from goin to the post office.

It must be tough to face death every minute of every day.
Hey, maybe he'll show up at a Polk Convention and show ya his Scabbs.

He is a scabby type of fellow.

Never received anything past this, and I quit trying. The total was $33 for the 3 dvd's that he received.
And he said nada to you at Polktoberfest?

I'm glad that this has come up. Because when it comes to the forums and classified/flea markets, I'am a trusting person. All the deals I have had on this forum have been great. I don't think that one bad apple will spoil this bunch.:D

Well then they deserve what ever they get! Or in his case won't get!
Another website has already shot down the idea due to the possible legal ramifications. And I don't mean the idea in general. Jesse (who usually does pick up the flag and lead these charges) brought the H-wheelman story to AK and it was shot down.

You can not post their names, sorry, it does become a slander issue. Best thing to do is ban the guy and his ISP. Posting their usernames would be OK I guess

Hotwheelman is far from being a long time member or original member as someone else suggested.

This behavior needed to be shared, and I thank Ted for bringing it out.

HWM has 1298 posts. He has been a member since 2001. I, personally, would call that a long time member. And if he had tried to buy/sell me something, I would believe him at word, since he has been around a fairly long time. (This board started in 2001 if I am not mistaken. Was created in 1999?)

But regardless, I think he should be banned. One time can be forgiven. Two times is a written reprimand, and three, you arse is gone!

Come on George, can't you at least put Troy on a coupon book? Buy here, pay here sort of deal?

Honestly, I don't care to have the balance, I don't even know exactly what it was anymore anyway - the whole thing just gave me tired head and I wrote it off to karma. Funny how karma NEVER seems to fail.

I've been here since September 99 Mr. Nightly, and I don't consider myself a long time member. Max, John Strong, Ron-P (aka Falcon), and The Bros. McGowan were here before me. I consider THEM to be long time members.

Yeah I can put Troy on a coupon book. Stephie's selling them for the JV softball team. Next time he comes up he gets a reduced rate for a couple slices and a Coke at Russo's.

The flaregun thing has got me thinking about the end of "Dead Calm". Bruce ain't coming here if this is the way his visits end.

I see. It's all a matter of perspective i suppose. Did the board change in 2001 from an older format? The earliest join date is 2001 besides the mods. Just curious.

    Carry on.

Just trying to picture Troy getting ready to pimp himself out here...
    fatguy16jl.jpg

I think the best thing to do is to ban him and report his IP to his ISP and let them know he's using his internet connection in part of illegal activities. If they decide to do something they will probably black him out and he'll have a hard time getting connected with an isp after that because he'll have a newfound history of crime.

I'm thinking justin will have to do this unless someone else managed to log his ip... I belive only admins and mods have access to forum members ip's.

edit: Hey Hotwheelman! I just noticed you're watching. Better hope you proxied ;)

Not to hijack, but yes, there was an earlier version. I think this is actually the 3rd version. From 2nd to 3rd, I think everyone was able to remain intact. From 1st to 2nd, I think a lot of people got dumped, including myself, and lost a lot of posts and the original join date.

George is right. Those are the old guys. I thikn I came along around the same time as George.

wow. what a scheme he's got going there. ANd i don't have any problem saying that. Yeah, we sometimes run into hard times.. but as someone said.. why keep buying stuff from people if you can't afford to pay for it.

I guess he knows since he's been here as long as he has.. that we're an easy target. Sad that there are people like that. I liken it to people taking advantage of old folks, people who are on a limited income. and they get taken for everything they have. and end up with nada.

I'm glad to say i've never had any dealings with HWM.

I may be way off base on this.. but i highly doubt it.

maybe the physical use of the word deadbeat was an issue to them?

they even edited the link to make it invalid. I've been a member of Audiokarma for a while, more of a lurker than a poster. I'm a bit surprised here at the quick quash. I never bought anything from anyone on that site because the situation just never arose, but if one did now, i would be quite hesitant.

liability issues?, I'm just not seeing it. If it was an issue, wouldnt EBAY be effing screwed, ala the feedback system?

I've seen far more conlorful and hurtful words than deadbeat used there :D

p.s. if you do a search for Hotwheelman on audiokarma, the link in question that was closed (and FAST!) will pop up, despite the mod's extensive editing
