In that case, my good Sir, I strongly suggest you load up the cellar with Brokeback Mountain (or whatever it was

Now that was funny.:D I got a good chuckle out of that. The best wine I have is at my father in laws house in his cellar. I have 4 bottles of Chateau Lafite Rothschild. Not sure of the dates but they are different years. None of the bottles are over $500.00 from what I remember when I checked about 8 years ago. I received one bottle as a wedding present from Doug Wilder (former Governor of Va.). The others I picked up from self storage auctions that were not paid by the renter. I use to get lots of stuff that way but after buying the contents of a few in the past I was tired of wasting money. Some units you can view first and some are closed and you take a chance. My only big score was a box full of Sony psp. I sold the whole box to some guy in Cali. All the units were new in the package. I checked with the local police dept. to see if they were stolen and nothing came up so I made a very nice profit off of those.

Back to the old standby... Lionshead! Just because it's a weeknight doesn't mean you can't drink :)

I've been overloaded on Yuengling lately, so the switch to Lionshead is a welcome change, both to my tastebuds, and my wallet. Paid $12 for the case, in bottles

Last night we opened a bottle of Edna Valley, Paragon/San Luis Obispo, Pinot Noir, 2006.

I was sad disappointed with this one....I'd characterize it as too tightly wound for a Pinot - and lacking that relaxed complexity of a good Pinot.

Oh well - that's part of the adventure - sometimes you get surprised - sometimes disappointed.

Tonight its BBQ - and I think I'll try a 2007 Challis Lane Zinfandel.

H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.

It's a blueberry lager. Very tasty, and the 8% alc level isn't unwelcome either. ;)
