Oh well ... you might as well just chop it off then ... and give me all your money. You're not using it anyway, so it shouldn't be a big problem. Drink some of that Mountain juice, as discussed above, to ease the pain of your loss ...

Now that was funny.:D I got a good chuckle out of that. The best wine I have is at my father in laws house in his cellar. I have 4 bottles of Chateau Lafite Rothschild. Not sure of the dates but they are different years. None of the bottles are over $500.00 from what I remember when I checked about 8 years ago. I received one bottle as a wedding present from Doug Wilder (former Governor of Va.). The others I picked up from self storage auctions that were not paid by the renter. I use to get lots of stuff that way but after buying the contents of a few in the past I was tired of wasting money. Some units you can view first and some are closed and you take a chance. My only big score was a box full of Sony psp. I sold the whole box to some guy in Cali. All the units were new in the package. I checked with the local police dept. to see if they were stolen and nothing came up so I made a very nice profit off of those.

Well, that might help explain something about how well the wine was stored. If that were in SoCal, the wine would probably have been heated quite frequently. Recent vintage wines don't like that. It will ruin older vintage wines in an even bigger hurry, and they usually cost a lot more too. You can't store wines long term in those conditions IMO. Even leaving them too long on store shelves usually means you end up paying for an expensive label on a very mediocre wine that should have been wonderful.

Back to the old standby... Lionshead! Just because it's a weeknight doesn't mean you can't drink :)

I've been overloaded on Yuengling lately, so the switch to Lionshead is a welcome change, both to my tastebuds, and my wallet. Paid $12 for the case, in bottles
