    Along the same lines:

    Mathematic proof that Women are evil

    first, we state that women require time and money:

    Women = time * money

    ...and as we all know, "time is money":

    Time = Money

    ...and therefore:

    Women = Money * Money = (Money)^2

    ...and because "Money is the root of all evil":

    Money = sqrt(evil)

    ...therefore:

    Women = (sqrt[evil])^2

    ...and we are forced to conclude that:

    Women = Evil

    Hee Hee, Ihear there's an opening at Enron, no experience needed!! Great benefits package included.

    I believe this would be Women=(sqrt[evil])^2
    Women=evil^2, Evil x 2
    Of course you have to add in the divorce factor= pie
    Because we all know that divorced women are infinently more Evil.

    question will a polk db212 sub handle the power of a Infinity Reference 1211a amp i was considering it for a amp. or for much more money should i go with mtx or kicker? also the db212 peaks at 1500watts can it handle 1300 rms @ 2ohms

    The MTX will be the better amp, followed by the Kicker. Im not crazy about the Infinity amps or really anything of theirs.

    The 2122 is rated at 700 RMS. Thats what you should shoot for.

    ok the 212 2 is rated for 700 watts rms. what will be the differnce in sound quality and boom factor will there be if i run a mtx 600 watt amp or a 1000 watt amp? also does mtx or kicker make a 800 watt amp? would a 800 be a good choice? i want them to boom but not blow up or be overdriven and i dont want them to sound smeared. i want powerfull crisp clear bass that i can feel and hear.

    with all due respect (and i mean that seriously, for once), the amp choice truly isn't that critical, because you're not ending up with a 'perfect' system... in truth, very few of us will ever approach 'perfection', whatever that means to each of us... i know i won't, not for many years at least, and instead of pursuing perfection, perhaps you should learn to be happy with what you're able to get, and go from there...

    on a less preachy, more realistic level, many competitors will tell you that it's not so much the equipment as the installation and tuning... time, not money, will get you the sound you want

    Neo is exactly right. While high quality are extremely important to getting great SQ, tuning and installation are much more important. Mid grade equipement proplery installed and tuned will always sound better than high grade gear half assed installed.

    but ok i know what the db212-2 is rated at and i want good quality but not an extremely high price tag. i want loud but i also dont want alot of distortation. i want boom but not alot of poping noises. i want perfection but i know that will never happen. cause some ones idea pf perfection differs from person to person.
    i have my mind set on the polk db212-2 they sound great deep rich and not real punchey. but what i cant decided on is the amp if polk made a amp with enough balls to drive this subbox id get it cause i love polk stuff. so please help and also suggest a good amp for the speakers too. ill have four speakers. polk db series db 690 for the rear and the db 570 for the front would i be better to go with the mmc 690s and the mmc 570s or will it make that much difference?
