    Justin,

The problem is the margines are too large.......too much white space. Look at Audio Karma's forum as they use the same vBulletin format, but AK's fills the entire screen.

Or not come back....Not even this forum is worth the headache this new look is giving me. No smileys....No BS....it really bothers me.

    Okay, everybody Chill Out!

One of the many duties of a webmaster is to make improvements. Justin has a new software package -- let him learn it for jeepers sake. If you ask him politely for a suggested tweak, let him evaluate it.

Stomping your feet doesn't work -- ever see a three year old lose it?

    Okay, resume your play... nicely.

My post got censored. What's up with that? Are we becoming more strict or what? It would be nice to know for future reference.

Yeah, it did. I don't usually look over everyone's posts all the time, but that was certainly inappropriate. If you need further clarification, here's a link to our forum rules:

Just so everyone is on the same page, I made a comment about the smilies that used an alternative word for '****' and a naughty word commonly used for the human posterior.
So just so everyone knows you can't use the 'f' word for **** and you can't use the 'a' word for your buttockal area. I used them in the sentence "And where'd all those "inappropriate phrase" gingerbread man looking smilies go that were here awhile ago?" The reason for the deletion was,

"Yes, "that phrase" is inappropriate. It's offensive and disrespectful.
Don't post any other messages like that please."

I want to sincerely apologize in public for being offensive and disrespectful to the smilies. It was hateful and cruel and I hope the smilies could find it in their hearts to forgive me. I promise to do better in the future.

    Cool beans,

It's different but I can certainly get used to this. I like the word processing features that we can use when we post.

    Two words: Cool colors! ;)

Has the System Showcase been updated at all?

System showcase is still here: http://clubpolk.polkaudio.com/showcase/index.php

But for right now, you can't edit or post a new system. I'm working on changing it so it will authenticate with the new forum so you don't have to "log in" to edit your system.

I may update it though, did you have a suggestion for improvement?

    Hi Justin,

I think the look is an improvement, but I agree with Jesse that the margins are wasting useable space.

I think it would be wise if you added back in the links to the Polk Audio web site.

Could you make the picture attachments more flexible maybe? For some reason I couldn't post my new .jpeg because they weren't .jpeg.

Of course that could always be user-end related (I did follow the rules for pictures though...)

Ummmm... not sure what you mean. But in order to POST a .jpeg, it must BE a .jpeg.

    Hope that's helpful ;)

    ~Justin

EDIT: I see what you're asking I think. You want to be able to post different formats besides just jpegs. Like a gif image? I think that's do-able :)

Old pictures in posting don't view, you have to download them?

Then again I agree with Jesse there's too much white space.

Hi Justin, It always takes a little time to get acclimated to a message board when it gets changed and I expect the same here. On first glance I think I like the new look but I would agree that the margins are a little big. Overall it's a real good job!

Can you not set it to automatically size for whatever your resolution is? I'm pretty sure the old board did this... and pretty much every other board on the web does...

I don't think the look is so bad, though... and it wouldn't be nearly as bright w/o the margins there.

Here's a vBulletin board that does what I'm talking about-

    http://monster.traxxas.com/index.php

Grab your IE window and resize it... it still fills it out, 'til you get down around 640x480 size or so, then it adds a horizontal scroll beyond that.

I've noticed that where there are images, you have to open a file now?????
What's up with that???? That sucks!!!!! Is it always going to be that way or is it just for the previously posted images only?

I do like the "new look" smilies though.

Is it supposed to have a 1" white bar on either side of the screen or is a setting wrong?
