Hey guys,

As you can see, I've upgraded our forum to the newest (most secure) forum software.

There's still a lot of tweaking to do, especially with the buttons (a little bulky) and some of the color schemes and table layouts. But the goal of today was to move everything over and make sure it works.

Thanks for your patience, and please, hold the snide comments; it's been a long day. ;)

    I think it is a step in the right direction. The whole look and seemed kind of outdated. This one looks alot more modern, i like it. You are right about the buttons though, they do seem kinda bloated.

    Was the old forum insecure?

    Well.....it's kind of like when your lady returns from the beauty salon with a new and very different hairdo.....it's best not to say any of the following:

    don't worry it will grow back.

    you look like the neighbors cat.

    What the hell happened?

    the lunch bags are in the top drawer.

    Just messin' with you J-MAN.
    I'm sure we'll get used to it.

    Hey...what happened to all our snide remarks? :confused: Those took time and effort :mad:
    And where'd all those gingerbread man looking smilies go that were here awhile ago?

    Hey...guess what. When you choose a smilie now it goes where you cursor happens to be instead of at the end of the post like it used to. That's pretty cool anyway. :D
    This is better than the first time but there's still too much white on the borders and the names are still too big. But I don't want to **** too much or else you'll shut it down again and delete all our posts. :(

    Did not mean to sound snide buddy, just thought most of it was meant to be more helpful to you than snide.

    Uuuhhggg...I hate change!! :o It's going to take some getting used to but thanks for the effort Justin. It seems more user friendly....now if only some of the users were more friendly :D (jk). Seems to be working well so far.....

    At least we are not all double (or triple or quadruple) posting like last time it was up for maintenance. Not a bad look, but rather bloated. (I like a more condensed option if available.

    Looks like you have much better tools to write your message with, but still no spell checker... :rolleyes:

    I am sure we will get used to it.

    This is a CSS based template that is easily moded.

    All the font sizes are set up by classes. For example, our usernames are defined in the CSS stylesheet
    .bigusername { font-size: 14pt; }

    I see in the source code that the "container" is set at 80% and the background is set for pure white:
    background-color: #FFFFFF;

    I used CSS for the Barbershop Chorus website where I'm webmaster. I also notice that this interface pulls in all the IM programs people have. I saw a yahoo icon by my name that opens a window to send IMs.

    Looks great Justin, keep it up! :D

    Some posts got deleted because I went back to a previous version of the forum (only about an hours worth of postings). Sorry about that!

    You also have the option at the bottom to export all your private messages in XML, CSV, or TEXT. Kind of cool if you're into saving everything.
