Rock and Roll Trivia Thread

I think it would be loads of fun and educational, especially for our younger members, to start a trivia thread. Maybe a Q$A format??
Maybe just putting up facts. I'd like the Q&A format, it'd be the most fun to do.

So I'll star it out with something fairly easy.

Who was the person that said the following statement? It's not verbatum.

"Your band will go over like a lead zeppelin".

If this works out maybe it could be a sticky?????

    Correct on Moon.

Bonham, I believe, was about to take the stage when Keith said that. LZ was opening for The Who and they(The Who) wouldn't even take the stage after Zepellin blew them out:p

    HAHA, dat's funny.

    A. SRV. (Actually, I'm just guessing... This could be a trick question. Of course, Jimi Hendrix was probably buried wearing Jimi Hendrix's ring, right? But I'm thinking it's Stevie.)

    Q. Who was the "Sixth Beatle"?

If I remember correctly, Murry the K was considered the "Fifth Beatle", I'll go out on a limb and say either George Martin or Billy Preston.

Huh. I was thinking Pete Best was the fifth, and Brian Epstein was the sixth.

But the hell do I know? I could be wrong.

    How about this:

    Q. Who is "Andreas van Kuijk"?

van Kuijk. Wasn't he the lead tambourinist for that pack of wailing gypsy banshees, the Grateful Dead?

Christ on a cracker, how many frigging Beatles were there?

    A. "Andreas van Kuijk" is the real name of "Colonial Tom Parker."

    Q. The album cover photo of the "Hotel California" is really a photo of what?

(I know way too much dumb **** trivia.)

Q: Quiet Riot encouraged us all to bang our heads with their #1 album "Metal Health." They became 80's heavy metal heroes with songs like "**** On Feel the Noize" and "Mama Weer All Crazee Now," both remakes of intentionally misspelled songs by the British band.........

Actually, I have 2, both involving drummers. Who were the original drummers for Aerosmith and Van Halen?

Aersosmith - David 'Pudge' Scott, although they weren't Aerosmith yet....

VH- Eddie, Ed and Alex swapped instruments. Then again, they weren't offically Van Halen yet.

Am I correct? If so, here's the next Q:

Q: In 1978, Volvo was Sweden's SECOND most profitable export - who was number one?

    Ok, a little Beatles trivia:

What was the first record label that Brian Epstein had the Beatles audition for (unsuccessfully)?

Ach, I actually have another ABBA question. What's up with that?

    Q. ABBA is a palindrome. (It is the same backwards and forewards.) ABBA also had a hit that happened to be the only palindrome to ever appear on the Top 40 charts. What was it?

Name the song on the B-side of "Immigrant Song" that was never released on an album? Up until very recently, it was the only studio recording that LZ did that was released, but only as a B-side single.
