Nope.... no sda's here yet. They would be really cool but now isn't really a good time for me to be spending cash. -
......platform at the bottom of cabinet, polkaudio emblem on bottom right, instead of top right.

I tried but couldn't negotiate a deal with this guy. It would be nice to see someone from DFW get them. Dibs anyone? -
Seller re-listed, they are right here
Seattle or Dallas, about the same distance to drive from San Diego...looks like I am stuck in the middle Did some fuzzy math last night and figuring 14 mpg (F-350 HD) and 2800 miles, 3.00 a gallon is 600.00 round trip, not counting chow and hotel. Certainly some shipping company could get them out here for less than that......any recommendations? -
I didn't realize there was a thread going already about this.
Also didn't realize he'd cannibalized the speakers.
What an infidel!
Early SDA 1's
Nice cabinets, just need drivers and tweeters.
Guy says if he doesn't sell them he'll smash them, then he puts a reserve on the auction. Sheeesh!

Click on the "One-time or infrequent LTL shipper" to get a rate quote at a very good price. You can cut the cost even more if you can pick them up at their freight docks. Be aware that no one will help you load them up, so you might want to bring help.

I offered the seller $2200 before he put them on ebay and he wouldn't sell them. Is anyone here willing to pay that much or more for them? For some reason lately quite a few have been selling for $2100 or less but the seller wouldn't tell me how much he wanted for these. I really want the 1.2's since I am still madly in love with the sl2000's but the pair on audiogon is in cali. Patience grasshopper patience. -
somebody is already up to 1250..... Prematurebidulation...actually he can keep them at that price."Thats great... but how does it sound"

If they go for anything less than 2k, then it would be a good deal on these, especially if you can pick them up locally. If you are truly looking for the 1.2TL's then expect to part with 2 large. You can wait and get the 2.3TL's for about half that, if they come up for sale.
Scott -
Scott, how far are you from 77042? I could meet you halfway with these and you could bring the 1.2's to me from audiogon. Carl
EDIT: I guess I should concentrate on upgrading my SRS's to 1.2's? Is there a thread explaining the upgrade? I searched but didn't find it. Does Polk have the upgrade specs? I'm wanting to upgrade to 1.2 not 1.2tl. -
was he could keep them for the mentioned 2200 he was offered and turned down.thehaens@cox.ne wrote:If they go for anything less than 2k, then it would be a good deal on these, especially if you can pick them up locally. I am stuck in the middle, I am in San Diego, which is about a 1400 mile drive either way, give or take 200 miles. It takes me about 20 hours to drive to Plano. Family is there. I don't trust my Brother in law, otherwise I would bid on these in DFW, have him pick them up to store until my next annual trip out to big D. But I know he will mistreat them

I see, depending on who is watching, they could go for 2200 or a bit more. They are the top dog of the SRS line, a commodity like atmoshpere has manifested on the TL's. I wonder if they are really worth twice what the original SRS's go for? Anyone? -

Forget it, ain't going to happen. Entirely different cabinets, crossovers and SDA drivers.
Scott, you can have Freighters and Craters box them up and ship. Probably cheaper than it would cost you to pick them up. -
F1, I did a quick quote from the F&C (ABF link above), and my quick calculations came up to about 385 per box. I am just going to have to wait and wait for the 1.2's to come around for sale in South. Cali. Until then, I'll just have to keep on listening and enjoying the SDA-1's........

$1725, someone is running the price up for no reason. Don't they realize their going to get sniped with 10 seconds left.
This thread talks about upgrading the SRS crossover to 1.2 by har_navalta: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28032& I'm not concerned with upgrading any drivers right now, just the crossover to 1.2, not 1.2tl.
A couple of members indicate they prefer the SRS over the 1.2's in this thread: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26945& -
I am a bit surprised that the reserve hasn't been met.....this is going to be interesting..esp. if 2200 was already offered.......and the seller declined. If they sell for more than 2.2K then we can expect others are going to follow suit in selling theirs. The price is going up and up.....like gas.

There is nothing in that thread about upgrading the SRS crossover to a 1.2. It's simply upgrading the stock SRS crossover with better parts, but that doesn't make it a 1.2 crossover. The SRS crossover board and parts are very different than the 1.2.
