Ridiculous. If you haven't learned how NOT to be offended by stuff you read on the internet, with the exception of personal attacks or whatnot.... You need to get off the internet.
Or your Mommy needs to take your computer away.
I'm a pretty quiet individual, both in real life and here on the forum. I don't usually say much unless I have something constructive to add, or if I'm trying to be funny. I've been on here a long time though. This is entertainment, for me. I, for one, really enjoy Club Polk BECAUSE of the people that post here. Were it not for certain members, I'd have no reason to visit. That's one of the reasons I hated to see Micah go: He really contributed a lot to the entertainment value of the forum when he used to post alot, even though a lot of the fun was had at his expense.
Of course, it's Polk's forum and Polk's rules. But I think highly of the people at Polk, and believe that they are reasonably lenient with what goes on here. As long as it doesn't get out of hand and as long as nobody is complaining.
Let's try not to completely ruin this forum.
That's all I got.

My question to everyone who is pissed about this thing is
Is it so hard to follow the rules? If you break the rules then suffer you will. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
Russ, Troy , Myself and everyone else in here needs to follow the rules. If we step out of line then this is what happens.
Not hard to follow guys. Are we all done whining yeat?

FrankZ has it right, rules are rules.
One day Spyder pised me off, I fired off a post that had some objectional language, next thing I know Justin is PM'ing me telling me to cool my jets, and pointed me to the forum rules.
Now at first I was a little peeved because what I posted was callous, but nothing that i have not seen here before. So i thought long and hard and agreed rules are rules, now matter how long or how many posts you have.
So RM got dinged on it, who cares? Move on, you made a mistake, yeah it sucks the way it happened, but can no one learn from this?
If he and TD leave, well that would be a big loss, but it is your right to do it. I just hate when people threaten it. -
I agree as well, rules are certainly posted.
I guess my contention is that other things are overlooked, but the mods can't possibly cover every moment of this place. We as a forum are too varied and unpredictable at any given moment.
I get concerned, offended and upset at things all the time....but I either keep my comments private or comment publically, and on occasion, contact the individual directly....I don't report to moderator unless it is affecting the entire forum.....e.g. Bullwinkle.
I also thiink that some freaking latitude has to be given to those that defend this place, and try to help with it's upkeep.
If the mods can honestly post here and say that we are not helpful to their process and the overall function and discipline of the forum....then I won't argue the point, I'll just leave....because if I'm not useful, then there is no reason to continue effort.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. I went back through the posts for about two months and I wouldn't be suprise if this was to be more of the source of the "warning" than "just" foul language. IMHO
If it were just foul language, probably 90% of us would have been banned long ago. That said, nothings going to happen anyway so we can all get over trying to hold the forum hostage with the "I quit" talk.
Doro, I agree that a lot of people are a voice of reason, but at times these same people do overstep there bounds. Justin lets a lot go because we have even headed members such as yourself, but every once in a while, he lets us know who's really in charge here such as "The Good Babe Thread" and this incident we get a bit too roudy. There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. I agree. This club tends to police itself pretty well. If somebody comes in here with an attitude they get smacked down right quickly.
I used to post on a couple different forums and in a lot of them virtually every thread ended in a total nuclear assault! All out brawls are very scarce around here.
I also agree nobody should leave. I still think this is the best forum on the internet and we seem to have a great bunch of guys here. Believe me, that aint something easy to come by.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

The speed limit is 55 or 65 mph in most states.
Who goes that speed? Whackos, maybe.
Rules appear to be interpreted.
Not saying that is right or wrong.
I think this forum works good as is.
We all need to express ourselves creatively. -

Not on the highway.
If the speed limit is 55 on any major highway in New England the average speed is 65.
