It's come to my attention that one or more individuals have been complaining about a certain member using 4 letter words on the forum. This member has contributed more to this forum than most and while the use of 4 letter words isn't really kosher here, I think the individual(s) in question should consider that fact before complaining about a few curse words here and there. If you have a problem with someone or something here, PM that person about it instead of trying to run them off the forum behind their back or put them on ignore (the bozo list) and that way you won't be offended. Most of us are adults here, adults cuss from time to time, no BFD, eh!?!

    My thoughts exactly.

I think it stems around the opinionated nature of the posts SOOO if you don't want an opinion; don't post.

If this particular member goes. I go.

I believe this certain member will be here for a long time to come, dont pack your bags just yet my brotha.;)

I agree that a curse word every now and then can just be overlooked, but when everyother word is a curse word then I can see ones point as that would be to the extreme, but I just cannot see the point in trying to get someone run off due to the occasional word. I don't want to go, but if said member ends having to go then I will follow the pack.

Whoever you are, please learn to use the ignore feature as it has been put there for a reason, or just tune-in to the fact curse words will happen wherever you are not just on a forum on the net.

Agreed. Trying to ban someone behind their back is a chicken$#!t thing to do.

The four letter words in question are done in a humorously sarcastic context usually due to the questionable topic / posts at hand. I don't have a problem with it and find it amusing actually. This is just a friendly internet forum; shouldn't be a blood pressure raising experience.

I've used a certain 4 letter word, too. No ban for me, though. Some people are just too uptight. We're all adults here. If this person doesn't like the occasional curse word, then please, go to a kiddie forum.

No I didn't rat out anyone, but....

Rules are rules and they should apply to EVERYONE EQUALLY. This includes you, them, us, and me. No if's, and's or but's about it. Save yourself some grief and use some of the well known short versions of your favorite expletive if the need arises. Bullwinkle, spiderman, and a few others that are still active here got hammered for crossing the line. I don't know about you folks but that's a club I don't want to join.

I'm patiently awaiting the chorus of "****%*&'s" that is sure to follow.;)

Remember that Saturday Night Live a few years back(more like 6 or 7) with John Goodman on the 'Joe Pecsi Show'? He was doing Robert Deniro, and "gained back all of his weight from Raging Bull". He and Jim Breuer reenacted the scene where Deniro confronted Pesci about effin his wife, but instead of using curse words, they used the word "shampoo". Funny *$&%.

Not directed at you Sid, but OH brother. People, think for yourselves for once. Don't follow the crowd and gang up on someone or leave just because he or she is leaving.

This to me sounds like an isolated case.. meaning. the person who ratted out _____ Club Polk member felt someone's language was inapporiate. That's all. Don't let this influence your decision to stay or go. Think for yourself. Don't be a lemming. :p

I think i'll stick around here for a while. Despite you all rather i leave. ;)

That kind of language used to offend me but there is so much of it where I work that I've learned just to shut it out. You know... F*** this, F*** you, Bull S***, and even worse.

I guess I'm used to it, but sometimes I wish the secretaries would just shut up!
