Great job, love the blue walls! If the poster idea for hiding the sub panel isn't going to work for you, you could hang some sound dampening panels on both sides.

Well fella's, other than a few pieces of chair molding, finish trim around window and a few paint touch-ups, the room is completed. I had my final inspection this past Friday and first thing Saturday morning, everything was placed in the room. Looks and sounds fantastic. Once I get home tonight from work, I will spend time tonight updating my system showcase. Thanks again for putting up with all my postings and wasting everyone's time.

Very cool...but I gotta ask. You went through all the trouble of building the room and getting those chairs and didn't go with a projector...why?

I would not leave that room for about 3 days.:D Great job on the design and the execution. It makes me want to remodel my room. Once you get the projector and screen up and running, it will be even more awesome. Congrats on your new space, and enjoy!
I got a question for you: What is that deal in between the front two recliners?

It is a remote/magazine stand my wife bought at some craft show a few years back. It holds my pronto and my wifes Harmony 659 along with the cordless phone and some other goodies. I'm looking to build another one down the road but for right now, it will have to do.

Cool. With the cup holders you don't have to worry about any accidents on the remotes.;) Enjoy it Grim, you did an excellent job and I hope you and the family enjoy.

That is outstanding work. You must be very satisfied.

I am sure these recents pictures will prove useful in convincing my better half to go along with the dedicated HT room. So, thanks!

    That's a GREAT looking setup......

The last pic of the component rack.....and I only mention because of the color contrasts.....do you have enough slack in whatever those white cables are to bring them down to the floor behind the rack and ride sideways on the floor?

Hey Brettw22, as soon as I can find them, I have a box running around in the basement somewhere that has a $1100 worth of signal cables running around. My better half says she remembers seeing the box, but she may have packed it in another box, go figure.

Square rooms are evil...Push a wall out or in to get away from a square shape. Try a google search for room modes for more info.

Grimster: Sweet... I can hardly wait to start buliding my own but I only have 12'6" X 17'6" of room to use.

Well it been a while since I last posted on this thread so I figured I'd give you another update on my been. It's been completed for a while know except for a few final touches. I'm at work know but I will post some pics tonight. Anyway, I finally purchased some movie posters for the room, 7 to be exact. The posters I purchased where, Matrix, LOTR's, X-Men, Star Wars, Spiderman, POTC and Finding Nemo. Along with purchasing posters I built a new command center, the table between the two front recliners, and finally got a set of black curtains made for the windows. So, all in all I've been pretty busy trying to get the room completed. Anyways, sorry for boring you guys but I'll post pics tonight.
