    I doubt MacLeod is seriously mad, probably just slightly peeved. Looking at it from an outside perspective(mine), it seemed to me that you came across as saying something to this effect:
    1 - I don't know anything about car audio.
    2 - JL, a strictly car audio brand, isn't worth the money. How do I know this? Refer to #1
    3 - I hate JL fans because they think JL is the best.

    Although I don't currently own any JL products, I happen to respect their equipment. Their XR comps are well respected among those familiar to car audio (even Cody acknowledges that they're pretty good), and competitively priced. Secondly, the W7, although out of my price range, is arguably one of, if not THE best SQL subwoofers on the market. They are very well engineered. I have heard one, and they are dang nice. Whether or not JL is "worth the money" is subjective and entirely your own opinion. Let's not let that supercede the opinions of others.

    Finally, just because someone likes a few models in a lineup, doesn't mean they are an "X brand fanatic." I love polk, but I'd probably never buy a GNX subwoofer. Same with JL. They have lower-quality (and lower-priced) subs and speakers. That doesn't make their top-end stuff any less awesome.

    Oh good grief people! The only response that got snooty was the "what the hell does it matter to you" bit. The rest of it was meant as a reply to Vr's statement and never once got personal or out of line....well except maybe the thing about his screenname....and you have to admit it is pretty damn long!
