Moments? Ah, got you with the old eject the passenger just after take-off prank, eh?

Did you win Airman of the Quarter for an Incentive Flight?

Lol, ironically enough Scott, I did ask the captain if we could eject and parachute down on Mt Rainier :D

I was a baaaad boy in those days, and the only reason I got to fly, is because I was the parachute rigger. And since the pilot couldn't make me sick (boy he tried, I grabbed my barf bag three times), he let me fly it for a while, having me study and watch my instrument panel while he talked me through the
    maneuvers.

With the T-33, one pilot ejects, both seats go, in case one guy is passed out. By the way, when I asked the captain if we could bailout over the mountain, he replied with, That sounds like a great idea, I just can't think of a good enough reason to tell the boss why we threw away a multi-million aircraft.

Those were the days I truly was superman, indestructible...in fact, I used to fly......off cliffs lol

Full disclosure, my moon shot is a photo of the Shield TV on Ambient mode, displaying that cool moon photo shot by a dude named Sami Kizilbash on Google Photos. I was jealous of all you guys and your moon photos, and felt left out.

So, while technically I did take a photo of the moon with my GS24, it wasn't the moon.

I think this is the part where someone starts the slow clap? (not that fast clap that @Viking64 has a reputation for) Or I just get expelled for plagiarism.

Saw this picture on Facebook this morning. The picture reminded me of one of my music adventures.

    tef216tb1hyu.png
Atlanta's oldest Black music venue has been operating continuously since the 1930s.

The Royal Peacock has hosted an astonishing string of legends: Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, Bessie Smith, Louis Armstrong, B.B. King, and the Supremes, and homegrown Georgia stars like Ray Charles, Gladys Knight, Little Richard, and James Brown.

    Music Adventure
In 1963, my first cousin and I took our dates on a Sunday afternoon from Buchanan GA 50+ miles to 186 ½ Auburn Avenue in Atlanta to see James Brown and the Flames. I was 17 or 18 years old.

James Brown did his thing with a purple cape at the end of the show singing "Please, Please, Please". He would drop to his knees as if the show was over and he couldn't continue. One of the band members put a large purple cape on his shoulders to recharge him after singing and dancing. The crowd screamed for more. Multiple times he threw the cape off and continued. I purchased a James Brown LP that I sold on eBay in the 1990's.

They had a pair of these sitting outside a hangar in Camarillo back in the day. One was milspec and the other was in commercial trim(TWA perhaps?) I got a chance to walk through both of them when they were being prepped to fly out for the last time around 2005.

I don't think you would still find that at the Royal Peacock Lounge today...
Based on their current website, it appears to be a place for twerking now.

They seem to be a reggae focused spot now, curiously owned by a company called THC Live Sound Stage LLC.

That's pretty funny, I like both (even at my age) but my mom, bless her 81 year old heart, was riding in my truck one day and I was playing Green Grass and High Tides by the Outlaws, once the dual lead guitars started doing their thing, my mom said, with a very annoyed voice, "Okay, that's enough of THAT!!"
