Everywhere you go...
I wish...record heat in Georgia this week, followed by a tropical system about to dump 4+ inches of rain on us this coming weekend. -

My wife just informed me that today is National Punctuation Day.

To paraphrase George Carlin:If you're not currently punctuating, why not get started real soon!
You might also want to pick up a copy of this book for that special someone...
(ee cummings might not be a very good choice for this particular holiday) -

We used to stay for a weekend every November in a mountain cabin 3 miles as the . . . . bat flies from Bat Cave, North Carolina.

From the website:
"Every year, the creator of the holiday sets a punctuation challenge, and punctuation quizzes and games can be found all over the country."
Redundant comma, Shirley?

It's a time to embrace your inner (TOS-era) Captain Kirk.
I am sure William Shatner, at least, would say:There's.
NO.
Such.
Thing.
As.
Too much.
Punctuation!

Designed by Jim Fox. One of a kind design and fantastic views, interesting history, but for $3M? Not sure...
This was the mountain home of Burt and Loni in the 80's outside of Highlands, NC. Originally built in 1972. It is said that Burt and Loni made some unsightly changes that the architect did not agree with. Not sure if those were ever improved.

Considering what $3 million buys around here nowadays -- that looks like a fine deal to me.
Don't get me wrong... you can get nice in northern New England for $3 million -- but not that nice.

Its only 4 bedrooms on less than a acre. That's my issue. No land for it. It is described as secluded, but there are dozens of neighbors within 1000 feet. Some may feel differently, but I'm not spending a small fortune on a place where my neighbors might complain about spirited late night listening.

OK, not the famous designer or uniqueness, but IF I were looking for a mountain home in NH, I'd prefer this: https://www.redfin.com/NH/Bartlett/86-Highland-Rd-03812/home/88023356
That $700K savings might buy few nice vehicles.

ne'rmind. I am not in the mood to discuss real estate.
The Bartlett house looks pretty good for the $$$. -

We have bat caves up 281 toward Austin. I've said more than once (you can ask Mrs. H) and not entirely facetiously (ditto) that, if I have any say in it

They say we have been in drought conditions for the 2nd half of summer. I wanted it to end, but not exactly in this way...

This is what a bridge near me looked like in Sept 2009 when we received more than 15" of rain in a day. Notice the distance between the power lines and the water.

Google street view of that bridge with Sweetwater Creek at normal levels.
