Let's make the doors on fridge coolers look like an iPhone.
This is amazing. Walgreens signed a 10 year contract with a startup to install 45k fridge door advertising screens, and now in a $200m contract dispute because they were so buggy - and so the screen company blanked out the screens in over 100 stores without telling Walgreens they were doing it. The doors are now in a warehouse in El Paso Texas.

Walgreens replaced its refrigerator doors with digitized ad-laden glass. It might become a $200 million debacle

They (Walgreens) do stupid crap like that, meanwhile they cannot afford to pay my wife a decent wage or provide her the support staff she needs to do her job. They have some truly incompetent people running the company.

It seems names of newborns have become an issue.

How would you like to be named one of these names below?

There is a small but noticeable trend of parents using weapons-inspired ― and, more broadly, aggressive ― names for their sons. Many of these names first appeared on the baby name charts in the 2000s, including Wesson, Caliber, Shooter and Trigger.”

Weapon-inspired monikers that parents have chosen in recent years also include Blade and Cannon, as well as brand-related names like Remington, Colt, Ruger and Winchester. Arson, Cutter and Dagger are among the other names with a violent edge in recent data from the Social Security Administration.

An unbelievable shortage of skills for The National Archives.

Can You Read This Cursive Handwriting? The National Archives Wants Your Help

Anyone with an internet connection can volunteer to transcribe historical documents and help make the archives’ digital catalog more accessible

The National Archives is brimming with historical documents written in cursive, including some that date back more than 200 years. But these texts can be difficult to read and understand— particularly for Americans who never learned cursive in school.

Completely believable shortage. I used to read documents like that regularly for work, and sometimes they were still difficult for me. With cursive not being widely taught anymore it’s not a surprise that they are having trouble finding people who can read that.
