    Tom,

I wouldn’t get all liquored up over the “disagree” lol. There are obviously a few trolls just going around and doing it to piss people off and hiding behind the fact that we can’t see who is doing it.

I suspect it us probably one of the bozos that are on his "ignore" list. That's their way of passive aggressively attacking him.

Well, it is very childish. I may not know everything about audio (who does) but I challenge anyone to read the post and teach me otherwise.

It did not encompass everything that would explain the differences but there was zero reason to disagree.

I would challenge that person to answer that same question themself.....see if they could explain it any better. Or at least explain why it is that they disagree. Probably won't happen though. It's just so childish...

I guess I am not there with the streaming setup yet. I absolutely prefer the sound quality of the Oppo 205 with the Tri Vista 21 over the Bluesound Node 2 with the Cambridge audio DAC magic 200. I'm already looking for an upgrade from the Bluesound Node.

Man I haven't spun one of those disc thingys in years. Do they still even make CD players?? Lol!
To me the convenience factor is second to none & the new found music that is right at your fingertips is simply amazing.
As far as the sound goes I couldn't be happier...Bluesound NODE with an upgraded PSU from LHY audio feeding into a Chord Qutest DAC & from there the Maggie's with dual REL T7x subs perform their magic. I run both Tidal & Spotify & use their apps which are fantastic.
I think I might be on the verge of filling that rabbit hole with cement! Enough tail chasing I say.

The CDP I am referring too is the Marantz SA-7S1, which was their TOTL, Reference SACD/CDP a couple of years back. https://www.marantz.com/en-us/product/reference-series/sa-7s1

That's a pretty sweet CDP, I'm only slightly jealous....okay, perhaps more than slightly.

I stream from my Marantz AVP and it's pretty great for the most part however the source isn't 100 percent and it's evident when you listen but man, I DO love my CDP. It's not high end but the music is pretty clean and never fails to impress.

Of course I'd love to engage in a vinyl set up but as you mentioned, this hobby is and can get VERY expensive. It's not completely off the table however it's more of a "down the road" scenario for me.

You're welcome to swing by anytime and help me torture the neighbors!
