Your dream turntable?

I had a conversation with a local friend - dream turntable.

Anyone here have a dream turntable?

We had a discussion and it evolved into talking about Kronos turntables. But there are so many great makes out there. I thought it was interesting because each name has their own tech and their own implementation of the drive system or suspension system.

Actually it might be two TTs. One direct drive and belt.
78 would be optional as I got rid of my 78s in the 90's.
Speakers: Polk Lsim, ATC SCM19 v2, NHT SuperzeroSpeaker Cables: DH Labs, Transparent, Wireworld, Canare, Monster: Beer budget, Bose ears

I'd rather have a dream cartridge.....but I digress. This is not your query.

A TT can from from the basement up. Isolation can cost more that a high end TT itself. Vacuum systems and moisture/static reduction/speed control/platter, connections, PS's......

And the list goes on on and on and on and on and on....

My dream TT would be that which plays the daggum LP to the best of the record player's ability without going into the extreme or uber extreme. Just play me some music on a damned fine format with the best pickup available that has synergy within my system.

I would say one of my dream tables would have to be the Beat by Steve Dobbins. Maybe someday.

    This is an easy one...
The Nakamichi Dragon CT. If that wasn't available I'd take the Nakamichi TX-1000 in a New York second.

I'm very happy with the turntable I have, but I've always wanted to try an electron microscope vibration isolation table.

Since we are dreaming here (would love to win the lottery!), my choice for a dream TT would be the VPI Industries Vanquish System with 3 arms.

    It is sick Tom

Mat said the new Avenger direct is a toned down motor but very similar throughout. The other difference is the vanquish is aluminum then acrylic then aluminum.

While the avenger is the inverse. Acrylic aluminum acrylic.

For vintage, I'd say one of Micro Seiki's top models, like this SX-8000MkII:

For new, modern, I'm sure I would be very happy with this Basis Audio A.J. Conti Transcendence:

Indeed. If you went to their website, I'm sure you saw this image as well with dual tonearms:
    0wn4dppbqrd6.png
The tonearm pillar on the left is facing away from the camera, so you're basically looking at the rear of the bearing for the second arm. Clearly, the tonearm bearing pillars, and the motor, can be positioned as needed.
