Polk Audio CS245 Addition
I am in need of a new center speaker to run with my existing pair of Polk Audio R50 as main speakers, and a PSW10 subwoofer. I have been offered today, for $45 a Polk Audio CS245 for a new center speaker. Does this sound like a reasonable price to pay and a good choice for my new center speaker? My existing receiver is a Denon AVR 1912 7.1 Channel.

I have no experience with Cs245. At 45 bucks new condition why not.. I did however have a 5/1 r50 set up that had a center channel speaker I didn't much care for. Can't remember the model or #. I ended up using/testing a spare Cs400 I had for the center & it sounded good if I recall.. I bought & sold gear years back..
Maybe someone will chime in on timbre match as I've never heard the Cs245. Great price. You could try it & decide yourself & sell it off if you find something that fits for your needs.. Welcome to the forum.. -

I had the CS245i for a while years ago, before upgrading to a CS400. It was excellent for the size and price in my opinion. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Anything bigger is probably overkill for the R50.Alea jacta est!
