New musical fidelity should be viewed as a completely different company compared to the older stuff

Can you guys direct us to a reference article of old MF vs new MF? Is it a matter of old model 'A' vs new model 'M'...and Tri-Vista vs Nu-Vista? I have a Nu-Vista Phono Vinyl phonostage that I think is pretty darn good, but part of my infatuation is A) the various loading adjustments (on the front panel), and B) the balanced/XLR output option.

Musical fidelity was purchased in 2018 so anything before that would be old. Anything after new

Back to my 3 pieces of gear I regret selling.

One was an A5CR. Man, I wish I still had it and that Cary SLP-03 I had paired with it.

Don't get me wrong, I love my VTLs but that A5CR made things sound effortless.

FFS, TMR updated the listing and incorrectly describe it as an additional pre-out:
    7vbp3gknnzh1.png

Why are they so clueless? Two "techs" say it's a pre-out and another one correctly says it's an amp direct input, and then they update the listing with the wrong information.

This does not reflect well on TMR's attention to detail. Laughable really.

Age unknown? It's right on the back panel.

So what happens when you connect two inputs together? Does the universe explode?

It's like crossin' the streams, man...

I'll tell you what, though -- it's better than hookin' two outputs together.

Maybe the answer is in the picture of the Pyramids and Speed of Light that @mhardy6647 posted in "Post a Picture".

They remove a warp in the space/time continuum and allow the amp to bloom with liquidity as never before experienced.

A buddy of mine accidentally touched the outputs of a Carver 9t (I forget what he said what he was doing at the time). The end result is he literally welded the speaker cables together until they burnt apart again, creating an open.

The amp wasn't affected in the slightest (he was surprised at that) but he ruined a good pair of speaker cables. So, yes gentlemen.....don't cross the beams. Bad Juju happens when you cross the beams.

This just popped up near me. As much as I’d LOVE to check it out myself, now’s not the time for me (unless someone here wants to buy my Parasound Halo Integrated haha).

No affiliation. I can tell you it doesn’t have the mystery pre-outs like the last one did, based on the pics!

Is this Musical Fidelity worth 700? It's just down the street from me.

Seller here. Thanks for linking my ad! It's also up on USAM. I couldn't post here due to low post count despite being a member for over 15 years.

I'm sure someone would snatch up your Parasound if you listed it. I had one previously and the MF is in another league! Plus, you know, local discount and all.

I purchased the Tri-Vista from this fine gentleman a couple years ago. It's served me well and has never given me any issues.

I was watching it on US Audio Mart and it sold. I couldn't act fast enough to get it. Matt had a great video on YouTube - recording with microphones.

Yep definitely a nice guy, we chatted a bit when I was considering the piece. We are pretty close to each other so hopefully having a little hifi meetup at some point, but now I guess I’ll never hear the Tri-Vista!!
