I'm looking into a pair of 24" stands that must be able to be mass loaded. Skylan, Sound Anchor, Pangea , Monoprice, all have the ability to mass load. Any preference or other recommendations for me to take a look at.

I use these for my 703s, made and priced well. Super solid mass loaded with sand. Stand and fill is around 50lbs.

Mine are homemade with the features you mention but are not especially attractive in the current state and not WAF ready. Could you post the links for the ones you are considering? I personally am a proponent of vibration isolation and that has had huge benefits in my system. Is this for the KEF R3 monitors? What is the weight and size?George / NJ

These say Solidsteel, but they look like Pangea.

I also use the Pangea stands. I use them under a pair of Nola Boxer 2’s. I don’t have them loaded. For the price,I think they are a good value. I also agree with F1nut’s recommendation of Skylan stands. I have heard nothing but great things about their products. Budget restrictions at the time turned me to Pangea.See my profile for list of gear.

I had an early production version of the Pangea stands. They sucked and I ended up tossing them in the trash. They could be mass loaded but the pillars were not exactly the same lengths so the top and bottom plates sat wonky. Mass loading is essential with them because without it they ring like one of those triangles farm hands used to be called in to supper with. They appear to have improved quality.
I use the Sanus metal stands for a not critical listening system. For critical listening in a main system with big monitor speakers I'd look for Skylan or similar. -
Solidsteel makes one (little pricey) You could hit Doug up for the Polkie discount.

That's awesome. So many stands have top plates that are woefully undersized for larger bookies. -
There are limits to the top plate size for the 2 post stands. For the large bookies he has 4 post standsPolitical Correctness'.........defined

Good to know. His whole line really gets superb reviews.

I look around at different ones and then get frustrated. I don't like anything so far I have seen. Monitor audio makes one of the best looking stands I've seen but they are damn pricey to the point I'd rather put that money into the speakers and get a higher end model. It makes me want to just buy the floor standing models and be done with it.
What about matching stands that actually look good? Most of these stands look like crap and to me take away from the beauty of the bookshelf speaker. Why don't speaker companies make at least one that you can bolt to the speaker and have the same beautiful look? Some companies do this and they look awesome but most do not I hate it.
Hey man let me know what you find as I got nothing I like yet. I'm look around myself but I hate everything.
