Direct Electrical Line Question

in Basic Hookup/Wiring Questions
I've decided to get a direct electrical line installed between our breaker box and my gear before setting up a pair of Klaus's Odyssey monoblocks. Is there a thread around with some basic information about that to provide my electrician?

Or can anyone give me a quick list of DO vs. DO IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT vs. DON'T DO ?

    Due to codes and Russ's electrician's license it might put some liability on him to put in public. Some knucklehead can say hey look I found this on such and such in this guy's the one that said it.

    I just finished reading several articles on your prospective Odyssey purchases and must suggest, no recommend 4 dedicated feeds:

    One each for the monos
    One for any other higher-draw gear (eg AVR and/or other power amps)
    The last to a power conditioner for the low powered stuff (eg preamp, pre/pro, TV, Blu-ray)

    Meanwhile Merry Christmas!

    On a serious note, I too agree with the 4 20A circuits for the reasons stated above. If you are going to go through the trouble of running 3 20A circuits, (2 for monoblocks) and then you end up "clogging up" the 3rd with EVERYTHING ELSE, it seems a shame to not have just ran one more to help balance out the 3rd circuit.

    Thanks😊! What I’d do in his place. Further, my existing config: 3 20As - wish I ran 4. Will run 5 or 6** from a dedicated panel when I move my system into what used to be a garage.

    When i did the upgrade i ran two 20 amp lines. Was very worth it especially using multiple amps. In hindsight i should have ran 4. Best of luck!
