    Well if we could get 23 more folks we could get the 1000va torrid. I have an 800va but I'd throw my name in for a 1000va
    What say Brian you up for a 1000va torrid?

    Thanks John. I appreciate that!. Ivan, I'm down. After reading about the sonic difference between the A1 and the dreadnought seems huge and also between the 800 vs 1000. I just need someone to build it.

    If we get this thing up and running Brian I'll be more than happy to build it.
    Next question is talking my main man Larry and Brian to find time to build the cases.

    As for the cases that's a Larry deal.

    Well Steve it's the top of the line and more than a few here got rid of the 800va to get the 1000va.
    The 800va is off the shelf and 1000va are special order. Raife was very lucky to get one to test and came away very impressed.

    Thanks for chiming in Brian.

    I think DarqueKnight had a thread on the difference between the 800 & 1000. I will dig for it.

    How many have expressed interest in a 1000VA group buy at this point?

    You'd need 10 to commit at a little over $300ea. In '16, the shipped quote for 10 was $310.43

    from the link Craig provided Steve.

    @Toolfan66 stated
    Don't get me wrong the 800 works great (better then the original AI-1 and better then strapping the negs on the amp) the new AL 1000 takes it to a new level and my system sounds really sweet right now.

    What does the $310 cover, I'm assuming Larry's cases are extra?

    yes Larry's case is extra. Those are 2016 price and I expect it to be a bit more to be truthful. the more we get to commit the cheaper it will be.
    the price was shipped to the destination

    Have a look at the old group buy thread to find the Avel-Lindburg contact info and hit them up about current pricing. If memory serves they will be closing for the holidays and coming back shortly after the new year.

    and then there are the new/higher tariffs. Even if it was an extra C-note ... Worth it!
