Get to Rockford, IL on the 18th of November

Open house on Saturday, the 18th of November. House opens at 10am and I'll run it until no one is here anymore.

Upstairs - small speakers and headphones on tube amps. Bottlehead will lead the charge with a 2A3 integrated amp, the Crack, the BAC and Mainline headphone amps. Bring your own cans if you want to try one out. Sennheiser headphones will be in house. If you'd like to bring some small speaks to try on the 2A3's do so!

Downstairs- Odyssey Audio Tempest, Stratos and Lorelei speakers with Schitt and Oppo feeding them. 2nd system is a Candela, Stratos and Carver Silver Amazing speakers.

Bring your own media, SACD doesn't work well, the Oppo likes to send it to the home theater system but that's fixable also.

Let me know if you're coming so I can get enough food and drink.

I'll kick in with cash or bring some drinks. Need anything else?

If'n you've got a specific drink you like bring it on but other than that I should have it covered.

If'n you've got a specific drink you like and I know about it before hand you might not need to bring it.

Will talk to the boss. It's perilously close to her birthday so I'll have to see what night the celebration is to be.

You already know the route to get there, and the time it will take.... just add about another hour from Plainfield IIRC....

Sure - sometime next week I'll start to whine about getting a head count. Probably will need to contact the local city administrators to see what my acceptable building capacity is...

Have fun fella's. Normally a run up to Chicago aint a biggie... but its my littlest ones 2nd bday, and well.... those two things dont mix.

Just play some "gangsta rap", or Skrillex/Diplo/Chainsmokers for me, and it will be like I'm there. Especially if Dave is there to b|tch about it

Skrillex/Bangarang/ Breakin' a Sweat, one of my vinyl demo tracks. :) Your 'putie speakers won't do it justice. If you'd rather not, I have some great pipe organ on vinyl too.

I'm trying to get a headcount - do I have any definites? Do I have any maybe's?

I think we'll open this up as a free trade center also. If you've got gear you want to give away or sell think about bringing it. Advantage - no shipping cost. Disadvantage - not sure if we'll be able to rig it up for listening. If you can't get rid of it you have to take it back with you!

I'll have some stuff here if someone just wants to take it, some classical cd's, a Sansui tuner, maybe the shell of a Yamaha Ca1000 reciever.

If you do bring stuff please no spikes or remove the spikes. Hardwood floors + spikes = pissed off wife.

We do have a dog, he won't be milling with the group but if you have a dog alergy just be aware.

I'm still in but don't count me twice.... ;)

If you're interested, I have a Denon DCM280 5 Disc CD Changer that I'd offer up for a door prize. I won it in a Karma and it just sits here. Be good for a garage or basement system.

No remote included. Not the actual unit but its in nice shape.
