^How do those outriggers work with your LSi towers? Thought about getting some once or twice to make them less tippy

They work great. Super stable now. They were a bit pricey but worth it. I actually have another set leftover from my LSi25s if you decide you might want to get some.

Let me think on it but for giggles let me know what your thinking price wise (via PM). Might get some Christmas cash to spend

Thanks a lot! I'm really enjoying it, I think it pays to show the correct combo of budget equipment can sound great.

I can't believe I've gone 2.1 never thought I would let alone never thought I'd reach this level of equipment. For me I've reached hi-fi. Sure I'd like to swap my pre and cdp and get a bigger sub. But 2 years ago I could only dream of having what I now have.

Don't be too hasty to get rid of the HT gear JF, you just might find yourself coming back around to it someday and you will still have the gear to put it back together.

I don't miss my surround sound one bit.

    Doubt that PFB.

It's not a matter of the quality of the surround sound, just a preference for quality 2 channel musically.

Many of us as we get older tend to start putting priorities straight. Music usually tends to overpower the HT side of things. To tell the truth it's been months since my HT side has seen a movie. Only when I'm alone, as the wife doesn't like the loudness factor. If we have guests over to watch a movie, she turns it down so low that it becomes irrelevant. Music though, she has no problem pushing the limits and I have strict volume rules for her.

My Magnifi Mini is all I need to watch movies, 2 channel for music is my priority.

Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.

Surround sound and 2 ch, electrostats offer the best of both worlds. No need for the conventional one for music one for movies.

Respectfully, PFB, I disagree. Having had a set of ESL hybrid speakers in the past, they are great for 2-channel listening but lacking when it comes to HT. HT is a different animal than HT with different priorities.

I'm not saying it isn't possible to have a heck of a nice HT setup using a pair of hybrid ESL speakers from ML paired with an ML ESL center channel speaker, but it's not the route I would take.

She's a keeper for sure. She needs to give my DW a lesson on proper listening levels. All she says is turn it down. :'(
