I'll soon be going 2.1 as soon as my parasound arrives. I like the extra addition a sub adds. I'm with the others that agree they add an extra je ne sais quoi. Going up I was in jazz bands and a youth philharmonic, played trombone and baritone. So I was always near the tubas and double bass. I like the richness it adds. That's my opinion on my system.
