    Haha, excellent, welcome to the club!

    Most of my guilt and reservation melted away within the first few hours of listening, replaced with perpetua-grin and shaking my head incredulously periodically at the realization of the performance refinements. Hands down one of my favorite acquisitions since I've been involved in this racket. May your experience be similar.

    I did a quick comparison of the LSi15 vs the LSiM 703s...
    Put the LSi15s back in the closet. It was pretty easy to stick with even the little 703s.

    The 703's continue to impress me, even two years in. Smooth, relaxing listening sessions. I love those not-so-little guys. My experience is limited, and I need to hear a bunch more speakers, but I'm still amazed sometimes that it's just a bookshelf speaker with the sound that comes out of them.

    Yeahup my 705's shipped today as well...I have never heard these before, but I know many of you like yours so I figure they ought to be alright. I really like how my Rti12's sound, so if these are much better, I won't be able to contain myself.

    My 5.1 RTi speakers and Aventage AVR are going to get boxed up until I have the time and money to finish and build a HT in the basement. Going to stick with the two channel in the family room for now.

    Mine came UPS and had no problems. Was helpful to have a dolly for wheeling them into the house. Did have to be home to sign for them, but more than happy to do that.

    Well I had the local UPS hold the speakers for me to pick up, took a half day off and have them at home now.

    I was worried about damage when I went to pick them up as the boxes were damaged and had some holes in them. Inside a lot of the styrofoam was broken but didn't find any damage to the speakers.

    But as I tried to pull the "sock" off of one it was stuck to the speaker??

    Turns out there is a bad spot on the finish, not sure of the cause??

    awww, man. I heard similar of another forum member's boxes being bashed up, I think with minor blem to the rear of one speaker.

    looks like it was socked before the finish was dry?

    @jeremymarcinko I have the 705's on the 2 ch. and the RTI12 on the HT. For music I prefer the 705 but that's just my taste. I prefer a slight laid back sound. The 12's are a little too in your face in my room however, in my living room HT with dead acoustics the 12's actually do better in.

    Seems a bit strange to me as well. Could be the finish wasn't dry, but only the one spot??

    I will call Adorama tomorrow to see if they can replace it.

    I bought my 703's from adorama during the Friends and Family sale. Took about two weeks to get the speakers, little delay but so worth it. Fantastic speakers

    ernie, I'm going with your assessment. Have to. I have the 12s, love the 12s, and my budget (spelled "w-i-f-e") is not that forgiving to purchase any 705 (or 707) speakers.

    So, what is said about contentment? Something like, "Happiness is wanting what you have, rather than having what you want." I count myself fortunate to be there!

    AND, I'll bet those new speakers will be thrilling to listen to!

    They should still sound good, just doesn't look good. Maybe you can keep them until you get the new one, then ship it back....

    Well my boxes were trashed, but the 705 were in perfect condition, with the exception of on of the rubber boots falling off of a 5x7. I just got them plugged in, and the mess cleaned up....got to take a quick rr break and grab a brew, then i am all set

    Glad you had no damage. Had to move some stuff around but been playing them for a little while. Straight out of the box no adjustments yet and really liking them. They will put out some bass.
