FS: Rogue Audio Magnum 66 Tube Preamp

Downsizing continues...
I bought this here in 2014 and have really enjoyed my time with it. I used it primarily in the living room rig with Pass Aleph 30 and Ushers (also Revel M22's). It will really be missed.
$780 shipped CONUS, Paypal gift (Polk forum members with >50 posts only please)
$750 picked up in Wilmington, NC (I can drive up to 2 hours to meet buyer half way).
If you're not pleased, return to me and I'll split the return shipping.
Retail $1,495. Magnum upgrades, separate power supply, remote (no phono stage). Comes with a pair of Mullard CV4003's, a pair of RCA (Conn organ) clear tops, original box (not original foam), owner's manual, power supply, power cable, and remote control.
From Stereophile: If you're in the market for a good, modern, cost-effective tube preamp, the Rogue is a superb team player that can turn the double play with a variety of tubed and solid-state power amps. Rogue Audio's 66LSR preamplifier proves just how accessible and affordable high-end audio can be. It took me by surprise--this is a lot of performance power for the buck.
Those comments were for the stock pre. The Magnum version sports a larger power supply, upgraded coupling and output capacitors, Dale-Vishay resistors, gold tube sockets, and NOS tubes. The Rogue website says the Magnum upgrades improve performance in a number of ways, including increased transparency, greater dynamics, and improved bass and high frequency response.

I need to revise pricing. I want to offer here at same price I paid @daboyz . I had recorded $750 on my spreadsheet, but after re-reading the purchase thread, I realize that must have included shipping (I usually exclude shipping in my record-keeping).
So price is:
$730 shipped CONUS, Paypal gift (Polk forum members with >50 posts only please)
$700 picked up in Wilmington, NC (I can drive up to 2 hours to meet buyer half way).
If you're not pleased, return to me and I'll split the return shipping.

Right? Now you have to find the brand of tube you like the sound of. Mullard? Amperex? RCA? Telefunken? Who knows!? Another journey has begun.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Schweet!!! The way I see it a few more installs on state street in the wind and this will be paid for. Sounds like we're in for some ice cold stella's this weekend, I'm happy for ya. Hannelore says like wow more stuff when are you getting the rest of your stuff out of the basement. You can store this Rouge with the rest of your stuff downstairs I have no problem with that. I think your starting to be a hoarderHome Theater

You can't buy anything with a spleen Pit.....lol.
The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
It is imperative that we recognize that an opinion is not a fact. -
Maybe that was an autocorrect typo for another thing a guy can sell that starts with S.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Yeah since you will be rolling tubes like a madman you can send the ones that don't make the cut my way.

Well hell! It's a done deal. I would like to thank the Academy, Mr Watkins, all you knuckleheads, the Pope, the nice lady who cleans my hotel room, celery, beer, Cummins Diesel, fuzzy socks, Phillip Morris, KFC, Nathan's hot dogs, dryer lint, the cute waitresses at Cracker Barrel who act as if they've never heard a southern accent, I swear about six different ones show up at my table when I eat there. Rogue Audio, skittles, Bounce dryer sheets, short Italian guys who enable this addiction....
If I have forgotten anyone, please speak up! -
