The separated spider can be repaired, as long as the separation doesn't go all the way around.

I've read Loctite one minute epoxy works good. What would you suggest WMG? Gently push in the cone until the spider realigns glue and hold till set, cure for 24 hours?

Aleen's tacky glue, and a 1/4" artist's brush. Apply the glue where the spider and cone meet. Try not to get any on the spider itself, just where the joint is. Set it aside, and use something to weight the cone down slightly. Let it set overnight.

Will do, thanks for the pointers!

@westmassguy I am having issues getting the spider to form back into position to glue it. It is slightly recessed in, what would you suggest to do to pop it back up into place?

It seems the spider is glued slightly out of place.

You won't get it perfect, it's torn. Apply the glue as I explained already, then place a slight weight on the cone to depress it. This should put the cone back in the right position with respect to the spider.

Meh, I attempted what you told me and it pushed the spider up a little but not enough to become even. I don't think it matters much anyways I think the VC slightly rubs. Back to the waiting for a good driver game ha! I will get there one day, I need to spike this baby first anyways.

Bass is okay, not what I was expecting. I still prefer my Monitor 5s and HK sub. The sound the Monitors put out compared to the RTAs is bounds more detailed in my opinion. More warmth and instrument separation. Just have to get an SL2000 to replace my blown one until I get the 194s.

@westmassguy A question just for my own understanding. On my MW6510s some are for my RTA11TL others are taken out of SRS2s. The SDA drivers have the tinsel leads from the speaker terminal to where the spider/VC meet. My RTA MWs have the tinsel lead going directly into the cone of the driver. Why would that be? Maybe the SDAs are dimensional drivers?

a 6510 is a 6510. Some were made here, and some were made in Mexico

Cool was just curious if the tinsel lead location made any difference to sound or performance.

I wasn't feeling my RTAs in my two channel music system, still preferred the Monitor 5s and sub. I was waking up Sunday morning and decided why not move the RTAs to the living room with the Paradigms. WOWWWWW. The Polks really helped to tame the brightness of the Paradigms and brought my home theater and music to a more well rounded sound. I think I will live them in HT duty and move onto setting up an alternative 2 channel music system. Thanks for all the help everyone! I will get some pictures of them up and running. Going to try and find someone to make the grills as I have the measurements now.
