They definitely helped! Thanks for the smooth transaction and fast shipping. Hopefully I get my drivers in tomorrow and can get them playing. Does anyone know how long I should let my loctite dry in my cabinets and drivers before I can reassemble them? Loctite says dries in 24 hours but 7 days for a full cure.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

Got one put together, waiting for my other 2 mw6510s to put in the second.
I still only have maybe 1-1.25 seconds when I push the PR till the mid drivers recede to normal. I sealed the inside, put a gasket on the tweeter. Think I might need to upgrade the mounting screws?Just a dude doing dude-ly things

hey... here is a grill picture from my RTA 11T. I can take measurements, if you would like. But so you know, these are a single piece of material. there are no joints.

My RTA 11T are kind of the same... If I push in the passive, the other drivers will take a second or two to move back in, but they will not FULLY go back until I release the passive. I have taken this to mean the cabs are pretty well sealed.
If there was a leak, they would fully travel back to their resting point.Polk Lsi9

Ahh life strikes another blow. EBay seller I bought 2 mw6510s off of didn't mention one had ripped surrounds and sold them as "good working condition" on top of that I have almost no low bass out of one of the towers. Guessing crossover issue. Well I'm now out of the RTA game for some time. Blew all the money I had into these. Is there any obvious damage in the crossover?
have you tried switching crossovers between speakers to see if the problem follows the crossover?

Meh it's part of the battle when you're on a budget. I'm blessed enough to be able to have the time, freedom and money to have this experience. I have a 6500 with a bad voice coil but good rubber and good cone that I could mail you for free - let me know.
I also have all the factory caps from my M7's if you want them. They all functioned well enough to sound good before I upgraded them.

Speakers seemed to work fine yesterday after putting the dacron back in. I will have a chance to really audition them, clean them up and post some pictures. Still have some things to purchase but they should be in playing condition after work. I just wanted to thank everyone that has contributed to this thread. What is the white caulk doing near the top of the magnet in that one pic?--Gary--

Loctite Power grab AP, glued the magnets as insurance. I've read it's best to glue around both the bottom and top of the magnet.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

I've read that any spider issues can cause cracking or rattling sounds. I'm just not sure if this little portion of the spider that is slightly separated could be the culprit.
