Just spent a boat load of cash (I should clarify, to me anyway) on some wires and IC's, MSRP of $3,340. Hopefully they will be here by the end of the week, if not the beginning of next week. Until then, here is a sneak peek.

Actually rainbow painted ones are the best. The multi-colored swirl around the "cable" helps rid of nasties

Just make sure you clean those potatoes with WD40 before use. I hear more spatial clarity in woodwinds if I use the red potatoes. Anybody else?

I find that russets offer the most uncolored sound, and for those of you desiring a warmer, tube-like tone, head for the Yukon golds. Of course, sweet potatoes will get you the best mid-range bloom for those often-edgy female vocals.

^^^^+1 I've also noticed that the more eyes on said russet tater, they get a little too bright. Cutting the eyes out and stuffing them with frozen peas, Birdseye works best, you can tailor your sound to desired preference. IMHO of course. No sour cream for me. Bloats the bottom end on my kerosene powered speakagers.

So I'm confused, either you are joking or my wife has a small fortune in the metal holding the clothes in our closet. Which would explain why we can't put hamburger in our spaghetti sauce. Going to the garage for my gold probe.....

  • I don't think you can litz braid a potato as easy as a wire hanger though.
Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. it's incredibly funny as I know someone actually tried coat hangers as speaker cables. You would laugh at how it sounded.
