I've been to the Boulder factory. They build the 3050s and 3060s on modified engine stands.

The real unicorn of the line is a pair of 3050s in black. The silver 3050s are typically in stock but they have to assemble the black 3050s as they are ordered.

Truly happy for you Joey. The Boulder gear is true end game gear that should probably outlast your house. My buddy's shop is supposed to be getting an 860 and 1060 in sometime in the near future so I am interested to hear the pairing with B&Ws. Plus he has the 800D3s, 802D3s and 803D3s in his high dollar demo room so I should get some first hand ear time on the combo. May even take a day and spend it over there helping him set them up!

I think they are 240v. I think mine can be configured to 240v as well... I read a review where they switched it to 240v for better sound supposedly.

After I decide I like this boulder, I gotta start planning a future with it. Next stereo room will need some heavy duty electrics, outlets, etc.

Started off with a small Boulder keychain when I was 23 years old.

If you ever want to demo some Oracle HD speaker cables then if you pay shipping both ways I would not have a problem with giving you a spare pair of mine on loan.

The pair at full retail is like $12500 for 8 foot runs, I think they only make them in 8 and 10.

WOW Joey!!! You've been talking about that monster. If I remember correct from your Stradivari thread... 2015 must have been a great year if the Mrs allowed you to give them Colorado boys a call. $45K amp? Damn man...that's nuts! Congrats....pretty amazing unit:

Hehe... 2nd pic is a little muted. Those are Elipsas, not Strads. And that's a Boulder 1060, not the 2060.

    But yeah... either is awesome.

Thanks broman! I will always remember you fondly because you really tried to get me to get those 800D2 from Houston.

So close, but it fell apart the last minute.

But yeah... I dunno if 2015 was a great financial year for me. I think I made more in 2013 or 2014. Plus the baby really does make a dent.

But yeah, I was suprised the wife didn't put up a fight. She just did the budget and asked -

Her: "What's this charge here? Did you buy a new audio toy?"
Me: "Uh... yeah, I was meaning to tell you about that one."
Her: "So you spent $XXXXX on an amp?"
Me: "Actually that's just half the payment. The other half I paid the month before."
Her: "So you split the payments in two so I wouldn't notice?"
    Me: "Ummmm"

Honestly, I sometimes lose control of my desires. Just the other day, I was || this close to buying a pair of used Dagostino Momentums. And yesterday I had an offer (that was sadly rejected) for a Wilson Sasha 1 and a Sonus Faber Olympica III (also rejected).

So, I think I have resigned myself to heal for 6 months. No more audio gear.... cold turkey!

Right now, out of a scale of 10. I probably feel financially secure this year - a 6/10. Last year, I felt better, probably the best I felt in a while. Too bad I moved my money around and so I don't have it all in 1 spot like I did before. So when I look at my account, I feel poor because a lot of it I no longer see it.

Well it seems like offering a pair of 12k cables on loan does not warrant a response as much as asking if your buying B&W. speakers. Guess I will be swiping that offer off the table.
