SDA 2B Proper Resistance Values

You don't want to do that. Do it once, and do it right. Use your favorite, quality speaker cable, and convert the connectors to SpeakONs. SpeakOn Sockets and Plugs are very inexpensive.Meanwhile I am debating a newer form of SDA cable, pondering a single run of solid copper the same large diameter (8-gauge maybe?) as the pin of that silly proprietary connector, just buy a 10-foot piece at Lowe's, strip each end and jam it in the holes ... Poor-Man cable upgrade.

Another view of how David mounts the capacitors on the stock 2B board, These boards have the TL upgrade capacitors installed. I was very happy with this arrangement. Everything is tight and solid. They sound great.

The upgraded crossovers sound even better when connected to Erse low DCR inductors. I chose to mount the Erse inductors right onto the large stock inductor so the crossover and the inductor can be handled and installed as a single unit.

Now after five months of enjoying my re-capped speakers, I realized something when looking again at the crossover schematics vs. my upgrade. When I yanked out & tossed the protection varistor (tweeter cap is direct-soldered, meaning, I did not substitute a 0.5ohm resistor in the path), I also yanked out & tossed a tiny 750pF shunt(?) capacitor previously in parallel with the 12uF tweeter cap. What was the purpose, electrically-/audibly-speaking, of that tiny cap? Were they important enough that I should purchase & re-install them in the circuit(s)?

The Silver Mica Cap was used to improve the performance of the Mylar Cap. It's not needed for Metalized Polypropylene Caps.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Hey, thank you very much for that clarification, "westmassguy" ! Some day when I have more money again, I will likely purchase the appropriate pair of RD-0194-1 replacement tweeters ...
