Well, good luck PFB but you should really consult with nspindel before you make any online purchases (see post #14). :loneranger:

And while I'm thinking of it, PFB, do you happen to have a doctor named Dr. Lee for whom you posted an online review ? For some reason I think you might.

I had to file a paypal claim against the thiefing F'cr. The Porsche is great, now that I dont have a job I get to go cruise on down into town for coffee with the top down in the lovely weather. I do like the occasional race off the traffic lights but I am starting to settle down with that.

Some people take offence to me buying quality audio products it seems? Anyways here's a link to the agon listings.

    Those prices are ridiculously low.

All of my little troubles come with pics, tracking numbers, listings and proof so that's quite enough of the nonsense.

I wish I could find this guy that took my 7k and ring his neck. I hope I am covered by paypal as I even called them to explain about my findings through the google image search I ran. The pp rep said the seller has done alot of transactions in the usa and there should be nothing to worry about. I have always been in the frame of mind " Never look a gift horse in the mouth" I have had many transactions with zero feedback sellers with good results until now.

Where are the pics of you getting fired? The tracking number where they delivered your butt to the curb? And the listings for job ads you should be looking at?

I've been a zero feedback seller and buyer as well as dealt with both. And it comes with common sense. Don't buy large items from or sell to people with no feedback. Zero feedback is for things like CD Box Sets... come on dude. Common sense much?

Well if anyone has been in a similar situation know that paypal has your back and "will"give you a refund. I had a nice chat with them and on the 19th I have to call up and get refunded providing a miracle does not happen and the seller comes through and ships out the gear.

I also got tips on the FBI web page to go to and file a report about this seller as I'm 7 grand out of pocket with this so I am not stopping at just a refund. I want this persons head on a plate so hopefully who ever it is get slammed.

Here is the place to go for reporting a crime and a site that I will be hitting up after the 19th http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

From first hand experience of the FBI's Cyber Crimes division, I can tell you that anything below at least a couple hundred thousand and they will do little more than take your statement and file it away, never to see the light of day again.

I worked at a beer distributorship and our CFO had taken his computer home to do some work. I told them time and time again to always connect to the VPN before working as it would afford them the protection of our intrusion prevention and firewall. Well, the CFO didn't bother, let his kids play with his work laptop and had a keylogger installed on his computer remotely. Needless to say, they got the bank password information and 2 or 3 days later, a group of Ukrainian hackers (that's right...the FBI knew exactly who was responsible and still did nothing) tried to withdraw a total of $193,000 from the company's bank accounts. They managed to get several sub-$15,000 transactions completed because the bank allowed those without dual approval. But all the larger amounts required 2 officers of the company to approve the transaction with their PIN. They ultimately got away with around $57,000 and the FBI never spoke to us again after taking our statements, doing a "forensic copy and wipe" of the infected computer and giving us their business card.

So, yeah...if you think the FBI is going to invest 10s or possibly 100s of thousands of dollars of resources to help you shut down some scumbag who tried to scam you out of $7000, you are sadly mistaken.

Agreed... my ex wife committed tax fraud using my social to the tune of some 45000 dollars as well as evasion of paying taxes by not filing. I was able to prove away 25k, but the IRS refused to budge on the remaining 20 grand because the company want out of business, so I was unable to gain the proof from them that I as never employed by them. It took m years to pay that debt, and to this day, some 15 years later I still get the occasional letter telling me that because a debt was forgiven I need to fork over more.

I submitted proof to the Feds and IRS of the fraud, took the time to make a statement each and every time, hundreds if not thousands of hours spent. They know here she lives, and have even asked me if I would testify. 14 years have gone by and she has never even had a knock on the door for and open and shut case.
The Gear... Carver "Statement" Mono-blocks, Mcintosh C2300 Arcam AVR20, Oppo UDP-203 4K Blu-ray player, Sony XBR70x850B 4k, Polk Audio Legend L800 with height modules, L400 Center Channel Polk audio AB800 "in-wall" surrounds. Marantz MM7025 stereo amp. Simaudio Moon 680d DSD

    Sure,

the fact that they have done nothing about it, and will do nothing about it is proof enough.

It's sad to hear that the deal turns out to be a scam. I hope you paid with credit cards because paypal doesn't always protect you if you pay from the bank account. I don't know if they have changed their policy and now refund you 100% from scams like these but in the past, I lost a couple Gs from scammers paying with my bank account. I learned not to ever do it again.

Good Luck to you! And yes, FBI doesn't care. They'll lodge your case and complaints but see if they'll ever try to get the crooks behind the bar?
