You'll be able to power them up (I strongly suggest on different circuits) and play them, but you'll never hear what they are capable of.Political Correctness'.........defined

Why do I sense disaster on the horizon?Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

I just purchased a Rega RP3 and use it with my C2300 and it sounds great. Back to Vinyl after a 30 year hiatus. -

Well if you must know the MC501's will be going up on the chopping block, so look out for that ebay listing. -

You know if I lick the tip of my index finger and hold it up to the wind I sense this too. -
I was looking at a 2300 to replace my ARC sp16 and match my McIntosh MC402. I just can't swing the $ for one right now. I have read many good things about that phono pre vs the 2200. Nice pickup. They are hypnotic when the lights are dim. I would love one of those Mcintosh clocks to wake up to in the morning but the price of them is crazy. -
Here is a pic of one of the amps, it has had the handle upgrade to make em look more up to date.

Honest/newb question: Why would you need that much power unless you were trying to fill a large venue or outdoor space?
Seems like it would be overkill for indoor listening and by the time you'd get those VU meters really bouncing you'd be damaging your ears. -

If I remember correctly, it takes about 2200 watts of power to reproduce without distortion the cannon shots in Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. With those monoblocks, he could do it.Paradigm 11seMkIII mains, w/ Zu Audio jumpers
